A very feeble attempt at affirmatie action
This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
View MoreExcellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
View MoreOne of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
View MoreMichael Rappaport used to be one of my favorites, and now does anything his handlers in the intelligence community tell him. Jay Phaoroh constantly spits out tired cliche after tired cliche, and once again, as beautiful as she is, Cleopatra Coleman makes a bad show worse. She is one of the most consistently bad actresses of which I can think. Everything she does is overdone and desperate to milk whatever camera time she manages to get. Everything in this show is completely disingenuous, I could write a better script in a couple hours, half paying attention. Watch the first episode and everything u think is gonna happen, will; x + y = z is the formula for every plot conflict. I truly can't thnk of any other way to put this than stay as far away as possible, trust me. There's literally 17,248 shows that u can waste 27 mins a pop watching. Some shows are so bad they're funny, others are just funny without trying. This show does neither, but tries extremely hard, and falls flat on its face over and over and over, im shocked it's score at this time of this review is even close to 5.9, probably ShOwtime bots doing their best to convince people they need to see it to be relevant. There is no excuse in the golden age of TV for a show to be this devoid of any redeeming value whatsoever. It's nothing but lazy writing for the sole purpose of perpetuating fantastical divide and conquer. There's no way anyone involved put an iota of passion or care into this. It exists only to subconsciously convince people that this is how anything In the world operates, playing off the BS that keeps racism alive and framed in a little mind control box projected thru our screens. You'll probably still watch it, Bc I articulated this so well you're going to crave seeing for yourself how truly abysmal it is. There is literally more thought, creativity and pure hate fueled passion in this review than every ep of the show combined.........
View MoreLike usual have to watch a few eps to get into it. I liked it. or maybe it was because i heard it was based around Jamie Foxxx rise to fame. JF is just a straight boss.
View MoreI don't mind this show. I'm a fan of Jay Pharoe from Snl. It has its moments and can be quite funny even though in the current climate its subject matter may put some off. However halfway through the second episode I had the realization that I had seen this show before but I couldn't put my finger on the reason why. That is until the female lead said we cant keep falling into bed with each other and then BAM! It hit me this is just like californication! And wouldn't you know it I checked the writing and creator credits: Tom Kapinos creator of Californication! Watch or not I don't care im not a police officer 5/7 watch just to see how they will recreate that show with a talented black lead instead of a white sex addict.
View MoreIn a PC world, the title needs a name change. That's where 80% of the negative reviews are stemming from... off of ONE episode. Wow. Smh. So after seeing the second episode, this show is basically a combination of Californication and Entourage, told from the perspective of a Black comedian.. Geez, give the show a chance. Several "Entourage" archetypes are in this series, so if you are going to critique "stereotypical Hollywood characters," critique the repetitiveness, not the characters. And if you don't think "those types" exist, feel free to browse (a) Variety, (b) TMZ, or (c) purchase a plane ticket to Hollywood. Note: As I watch each episode, my rating will adjust based off of story COLLECTIVELY.
