Why so much hype?

Orla Zuniga

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

If you like background noise/music masking over the lack of story and substance you'll enjoy the film.It starts off well but becomes extremely predictable and extremely slow.2:22 would have been a better length for the move not a title.

As one who has studied ATC and who has family who are real-world ATC, let me point out to all viewers of the movie that the ATC sequences are completely ridiculous. If real-world controllers acted as depicted in this movie, they would be out of a job immediately.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was suspenseful and intriguing. The audience is taken on a ride with the actors through an intricate plot that weaves its way to a final conclusion that has a satisfying twist. I like how it ended, tying up all loose ends and responding to all the viewer's unanswered questions. The acting was convincing and all were solid performances. The two main characters were especially good and carried the film with the help of the minor actors. I like this style of movie that allows the audience to use their brains instead of spelling everything out as though the audience is not intelligent. View this film with fresh eyes ignoring the derogatory reviews that obviously think that giving a one or a two to a movie is a good idea. The low scores that were given by some have caused this movie to be overlooked which is totally unfair.

I have to agree with most of the reviewers here.2:22 had the cast, the financial resources, an "adequate" story and everyone did their job well. So what went wrong? Direction: all done by the book (speaking in 2017 standards). OK, if you have the money, you can do this, but it actually lacks soul and depth.Script: again, all done by the book. Romance, mystery, some science, cool ideas to engage both male & female audience and forget the gigantic plot holes.Characters/casting: No real people anywhere. Just pause on any scene that wasn't shot on the road and check: No ugly people, nobody gets dirty, nobody not properly dressed. What is this? Some balance would be nice.Getting all the right ingredients doesn't ensure the outcome.
