The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

I watched Banshee Chapter because the topic had my interest. Actually, MK ultra is a real experiment that was done between years of 1953 and 1973. The story-line of the movie was very clear and easy to follow, but there were really bad mistakes of the movie. They were unreasonable, and not even related to the stupidity of any character. These mistakes made the movie unrealistic. There were also some stuff left unexplained at the end of the movie, this also made it unrealistic. Even though, I was really captured by the movie and its jump scares. Some scenes were so tense that I knew a few jump scares before coming. Though, they still made me jump. If it was also realistic in reasonable consideration, I would find the movie much better. What I can say is that watch it if you are interested in the subject matter of the movie and if you like creepy stuff. And watch it as a creepy thriller movie. Otherwise, watching the movie would be a waste of time for you.

Despite a few flaws that one can easily look past, this movie had strong acting, natural and flowing pacing, and an atmospheric soundtrack that make Banshee Chapter into a likely cult favorite among obscure movie fans. The music/transmitter acted as the 'unholy knowledge' and the chemical took the form as the way to access it. While Blackburn was downplayed as having a pivotal role in this movie, further reflection portrays him as a kind of sorcerer/ghoul that worked out how to get access to the experiments for his own nefarious ends (when he states that the government always messes up what should be beautiful, even though he took the discards to develop his own drug).

I really enjoyed this movie.I thought Banshee Chapter was a very original movie and it was Very creepy and strange. This is a Horror movie done the right way.what makes this film work is its mystery.it has a very fascinating mystery that makes you want to keep watching so you can find out whats going on. I personally love movies like this, ones where the viewer has to figure things out. I Thought it was a very suspenseful movie and there were also some bizarre images in the movie. I'm sure if little kids saw this movie it would Freak them out.I mean some scenes freaked me out and I'm an adult. The Movie is about a Journalist Girl Called Ann played by (Katia Winter) that goes looking for a friend of hers who went missing after hearing weird radio like sounds And Music in his house. The boy and his friend went missing one after the other. The police suspected the boys friend for the disappearance but then he goes missing too so he stops being a suspect. The lead girl Ann thinks something else is going on and she doesn't think that the boys disappearing is any normal incident she thinks it has something to do with the weird radio noises they listened to before they disappeared.she also finds out about the government doing secret research experiments and she thinks the chemical the boys ingested may have something to do with the strange radio Broadcast. The girl finds audio footage of the two boys last moments together and she listens to it and tries to figure out whats going on.footage is also shown throughout the movie of people being experimented on in a laboratory by scientists. The girl meets up with a retired writer and he helps her to figure out what's going on and its not long before the two of them start hearing the creepy radio broadcast too and the girl thinks the experiments have something to do with it.Overall This is a good Movie and I liked it but there were some things that I found odd in the movie.I thought it was Odd that The lead girl seemed very comfortable walking around at night by herself most of the movie, its only until about half way through that she meets with the writer and he helps her and they walk around together looking for evidence, which I must also add is a bit odd because the girl Doesn't even know this man and yet she is still comfortable enough to walk around with him in the middle of the night?.she even goes to his house at one point and the guy starts giving her drinks and they drink together.I personally would not go to a mans house if I barely knew him and then start having drinks with him, he could put anything in your drink. As it Turned out Nothing happened but my point is something could have happened, you can never be too careful now a days.To end the review I will say this. This is not a Great film But it is a very interesting film mainly because of its mystery. The movie is also genuinely creepy and has that fear of the unknown feel about it which just goes to show you sometimes something you cant see is scarier than what you can see. This film was chilling and Creepy because the viewer never fully understands why the strange things are happening which is what makes this film work. overall I recommend it if you want to watch a movie that makes you think.I Thought it was an entertaining film.

I have never really been a fan of either Documentary or especially Found Footage Horror. But, the way this one builds the tension and suspense, it does the job just fine. I'm probably just a BIG P\/$$y, but quite honestly this scared the living $h!t right out of me into my pants (probably more information than you wanted...)Anyway, despite my usual antipathy for these kinds of films, once in a while one will come along that is very effective, and this is one of them. Coincidentally, I also recently watched a similar film called 'THE ATTICUS INSTITUTE' which also scared me $h!tless, but that one was much more heavily slanted toward the Paranormal than this one was.So, there really is not a whole lot to say about his particular Genre except whether it is done well or not. And, I can say that for me personally, I was absolutely RIVETED to the screen the entire time. There was NO down time on this one. And YES, there are numerous jump type scares, but with this kind of film, I think that it would be obvious that that comes with the territory. The point is whether the jump scares are done well, and they are indeed...My imagination is VERY sensitive, so maybe this film would be more intense for me than for others, I don't know. All I know is that by the end, I was frigg'n creeped out. So, what that means to me is that the primary elements that are vital to a film like this, namely the mood and atmosphere, are clearly effective and doing the good job that they are supposed to be doing. Like I said, this type of film is not my first choice. I tend to find the more Fantasy based, 'fun' type of Horror more enjoyable (like 'NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET' or 'RE- ANIMATOR', for example) But, this one seriously had me by the nuts and refused to let go...I would say that if you don't mind the Genre, and if have an active imagination like I do, and if you can REALLY get sucked into a story easily like I did with this one, then this movie should indeed scare you...
