Best movie ever!

Whitech

It is not only a funny movie, but it allows a great amount of joy for anyone who watches it.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

A soldier from the waste land helps a princess overthrow the cruel general who has crowned himself king. Along the way, after many attempts, the soldier and ruler meet in a battle to the death. Dolph Lundgren is in good form as the killing machine who turns against his employer, indeed the story recalls the earlier(and inferior) Red Scorpion but Bridge Of Dragons manages to work as guilty pleasure fun due to the sharp production values and some admittedly suspenseful action sequences. Character development (as usual) is nil but what a small price to pay for a big body count.* *1/2 out of 4-(Pretty good)

Set in some bizarre time frame; a medieval hillbilly fascist kung fu post apocalyptic scenario type place, it is a plain story told with lots of visual flourish. The action is John Woo-ish but pretty good with lots of wasted bodies tumbling in picturesque slow motion and colourful explosions and Dolph Lundgren (apart from being burdened with the descriptive monicker 'Warchild'(!) instead of a real name) looks fit and fearless doing the macho bits. He is not a great actor but he does have presence. He can't do romance though.Valerie Chow is bland but Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is good value as always. The man does look mean. God has blessed him with a cinematically villainous face. It is odd though to see long standing familiar British actors like John Bennett and Jo Kendall turn up. It all adds to the bizarre charm of the film I suppose. It must also be part of the odd nature of the film in that there were no bridges and no dragons anywhere.

Here's another martial arts movie in the making. "Bridge of Dragons" is like a updated version of "Street Fighter", only the scene are far deadlier. Dolph Lundgren and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa are back together again, since their last movie "Showdown in Little Tokyo". Some parts are about the same except, that Wildchild(Lundgren) was trained by Ruechang(Tagawa). This was interesting to see. A loyal warrior to Ruechang at first, he sees no problems working for him. He and Emmerich(Gary Hudson) battle forces along with Ruechang. When the princess(Rachel Shane, AKA Valerie Chow) participates in the fighting tournament, Wildchild slings pig poop in her face, only he ends up with it as well. He really got mad at his leader when he slapped Princess Halo. After that, he knows that General Ruechang isn't the loyal man he nor Emmerich trusts. It's good that the movie ends well, somehow some people will see it as a SF knockoff. I DON'T CARE! It was good, could use some more scenes, but it's OK. Rating 2 out of 5 stars.

Dolph Lundgren does one of his best appearances since Rocky IV. He sparkles in the role as Warchyld, an though soldier who struggles with inner motions when the princess of his country rebels at the evil general Ruechang. The movie is quite entertaining, with an fun ethnic mix. you meet both Chinese, English, American, Spanish and Arabic people. sivil cars and buildings are from the 1930's America, they ride horses and flies helicopters, the evil soldiers have second world war Nazi uniforms and weapons are both old and new. This fictionally country seems interesting too bad the movie don't explain too much about things as name and where this country would be in the real world. Effects such as explosions and choreography are good.if you expect a Dolph movie, you are in for a treat!i could't find a bridge thou, and neither a dragon for that matter...
