It is a performances centric movie

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Canniballistic is a strange kind of movie that I am not sure everyone is going to follow. It is slow with a mix of very black humor and mild violence. But, there is something about this movie that catches you about halfway through. The story has to do with a guy named Will. You see, Will was in a car accident a little while back with a buddy of his out in the middle of nowhere. Will is forced to eat his dead friend to survive and has never really been the same since. When he moves back to his parents old house to get away from the city, his neighbors start driving him up the walls and there is only one thing to do...This movie is a sort of mix of styles of other filmmakers. I wouldn't go so far to say that this is in David Lynch field, but, there are some characters that seem like they could have been written on Twin Peaks. The violence is not in the forefront with this movie. Actually, for a cannibal film this movie was extremely tame. There really isn't anything disturbing with the material at all. If anything, the music adds some nice atmosphere to this film giving you a feel like something is going to happen, but, not a whole lot does happen. Well, maybe a few things near the end, but, you will have to watch it yourself. This movie is really for the patient. As I said before, it's not for everyone and I don't think most people are really going to understand the bleak humor that this movie has. 7/10

If you like your blood feasts served up with a dash of dry wit and a side of social commentary, then this film is for you. Gory, smart, funny and sometimes surreal, Canniballistic is the story of a man struggling with his own demons in a world that just can't take a hint.If you've seen 'Colonial House' on PBS, you may be surprised to see Freeman Don Wood here as the main protagonist, the one who dines on human flesh. Fans of the British TV series 'Doctor Who' will also get a treat in the form of that show's 'Sgt. Benton' as a television self help guru. No, this isn't 'Cannibal Ferox' or 'Cannibal Holocaust'. So if you're looking for that sort of thing, this will not be for you. If you are a fan of the delightfully dark film 'Parents' or like your John Waters with a touch of HG Lewis, then Canniballistic may be just what you are looking for.

Looking at the cover of the DVD, you would think this film was just another gore film but it's so much more. This movie is as absurdly funny as its title. The characters are well developed and although slightly slower pacing than your average MTV generation horror film, it's build up and development is perfect for those with patience and a sense of humor. I look forward to more well thought out movies like this.

Don't be fooled by the video box art. This is an odd little movie, not your usual run-of-the-mill cannibal gorefest. Despite the film's microscopic budget, everything here works, from the understated acting of the leading man to the impressive cinematography. This clever picture stands head and shoulders above most other no-budget horror movies being offered today. "Jason" and "Freddy" fans may be disappointed, but this movie is highly recommended for those who enjoy John Waters, HG Lewis, Tobe Hooper, George Romero, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Ken Russell, Ed Wood and any other filmmaker with a heart and a sense of humor who makes odd and personal films.
