Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.

DRAGON is an example of The Asylum doing what they're best known for, which is ripping off a Hollywood blockbuster purely to fool people into picking this DVD off the shelf by mistake. This one's a rip-off of ERAGON but turns out to be the usual fantasy junk, full of LORDS OF THE RINGS cliches and very little else. A group of badly acting and mannered characters roam around in the woods in a bid to dispel some dark lord or other, and they tend to wear old cast-offs with bits of chain mail and the like. Some are made up to be elves. There are some limited special effects but the CGI is so bad that they're underused, which is all for the good. As Asylum movies go, this is one of the worst and least entertaining of them all.

Wednesday Three

"best not footle"I'm not sure if it is a real phrase. Either way it has given us a unique 'passcode' if you will, with which to describe a uniquely terrible film. As my name suggests we watch a horror or supernatural film every Wednesday. We have done this for two and a half years. NEVER have we regretted watching something or spending our time on a movie as much as this. Yes it has a budget. No it doesn't obviously involve art students. It is still worse than the worst dentistry I have ever had done.Watch if only to set the common standard by which you will judge not only movies but also life itself.A life sore. Pestilent and weeping.Pass it on like the Ring curse. So terrible in its entirety that a horror movie could be made of the watching of this movie. We have waited to join IMDb until we were sure. But no. It really is this terrible. Two and a half years sure.

I picked this movie up for $1 at Wal-Mart not expecting much but for how much I paid I was impressed. As for graphics the Dragon doesn't look very great and some scenes are to dark. The aerial views are very beautiful but the actual footage shot on ground is bleak and repetitive. The sound is rough in some parts but the story is actually pretty good. As far as the acting goes it was alright. Some performers definitely did better than others. The movie has what seems to be an original idea for the plot and that alone is worth the watch. If a sequel was ever made I would definitely pick it up. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes the fantasy genre. It's not the best of its kind but given the low budget it is a winner.

I'll give it a 6 for not terrible acting, the action scenes are OK and the effects are not great but you can tell they had a low budget to work with. The reason I didn't give it higher is mostly because it's slow, and there's way too much talking. Most of the time they're not even moving while talking. Granted to tell a story he wanted to tell, with limited budget of course he felt he had to have the characters reveal the story, but that's just exposition, which is not what movies were made for.Had to fast forward it through half the movie to keep from getting bored. If they would have kept them moving at least, you'd have something. But 5 stars for effort 1 more for everything else.
