Best movie of this year hands down!

Crappy film

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

Nothing worse than a comedy that isn't funny, Bateman and Affleck should be ashamed of this mess.

This movie was horrible. I watched this because I like Mila Kunis and was coming off of a Jason Bateman high of This Is Where I Leave You and Horrible Bosses II. I guess everyone had some sort of large payment due on various debts. While the actors seemed to do exactly what you would expect (Jason Bateman was the straight man, Mila Kunis the cool chick, Ben Affleck the philosophical slob, and Kristen Wiig as awkward girl), no plot, no chemistry, and no idea of what journey we were supposed to be on. It was so disappointing because I usually enjoy these actors very much. Basically, a G-rated Eyes Wide Shut, where the protagonist gets led around by his hard-on for two hours. I haven't felt this visceral a response to a movie since Traci Lords' Not of This Earth in 1989. Badly done, Jason and Mila, badly done.

Extract is a decent movie with a reasonably well written storyline and a terrific comedic cast. It's a very enjoyable film in which most of its flaws are forgotten by the fact that it is simple fun, the cast all shine in their roles, with the likes of Jason Bateman, Kristen Wiig and J.K. Simmons all starring, but the highlight for me had to be Ben Affleck, a huge star that I was very surprised to see playing a supporting role in a Mike Judge comedy, he is hilarious in all of his scenes and it is nothing like what we've seen before from him. The films biggest flaw is that it simply had more potential than it delivers, a comedy written and directed by Mike Judge, the mind that brought us King of the Hill, Beavis and Butt-Head and Office Space, with a stellar comedic cast like this seemed like an easy success, but it simply dosen't live up to its expectations. A lot of the jokes are very lame, there's several scenes where the characters take drugs and it's funny fur a few minutes, but it just keeps going, I found Mila Kunis's role irritating, her dialogue with Bateman is very poorly written and her character didn't make me laugh once, there is a lot of well written jokes here, such as the scenes between Kristen Wiig and Dustin Milligan, but there's too many parts that are straight up dumb. Certainly has its moments but misses far too often, Extract is still worth the watch if you ever see it on television, but don't go out of your way to see it. A hapless factory boss's life crumbles after a workplace accident and his own marriage is in trouble. Best Performance: Ben Affleck

There were a lot of good actors in Extract, but some of the casting decisions were quite surprising. I didn't expect to see Bateman and Affleck in a same movie, but it still worked out pretty well.The story was more interesting than the summary made me think. A lot of things were happening at once, which is a lot better than focusing on one thing during the entire film. I think they didn't let us get to know all characters as well as they could've.There was all kind of humour in this, even black humour, but they used way too many types for it to be effective. That means some viewers only respond to some kind of humour and not all of it, even if they recognize "oh yeah, that was probably supposed to be funny". The movie had a lot of potential, but for some reason it didn't live up to that potential. Now afterwards I'm not really feeling anything. I don't feel good or bad or amused. I just feel like that was a movie, very general and very decent. Technically it was well- made, but for some reason it feels like Mike Judge didn't work hard enough. This movie worked but it doesn't stand out in any way.
