Don't Believe the Hype
Brilliant and touching
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
View MoreJust intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
View MoreI really liked the part where they were in the car and screaming and confused, which luckily for me was about the length of the whole movie. This is always been a fetish of mine to be scaring girls like that (harmless of course) This movie helped me figure out what I want to be when I grow up, a spooky man chasing girls in the dark with my car. To bad I'm a skinny wimp who can't beat up even woman. It all started when I was younger and fell of my bike and my mom gave me so many kisses that I started to fall even more on purpose (once time she even kissed my mouth) I link this movie with the events of my mother kissing me. I think only psychopaths like this movie like me and i'm really happy I bought it for only 10 bucks in the movie store!
View MoreWhat the hell was this. The only thing I have to say to the producer is well done on part of selling this world wide. I mean, if you will ever see this utterly bad movie you will know what I actually are bragging about.I can't say a positive thing on no parts of this flick. the acting is awful, the use of the camera makes you sick, the effects are below zero and the story is written on one line. The words they are saying and things they are talking about men, really. The horror is simple, driving softly to a car makes the owner goes berserk and is out to punish the girls. But the girls fight back with throwing things to the car, by sh*tting out of the window to the car, again, really. But wait, the victims have to undress (off-camera) naked and have to p*ss on their clothes and one of the girls is sick in the car throwing up. That's the horror. Towards the end the victims can take revenge on the killer but even that takes way too long.At the end of the day this is just a waist of time, pure trash but then in a bad way.Gore 0,5/5 Nudity 0/5 Effects 1/5 Story 0,5/5 Comedy 0/5
View MoreA group of teenagers are lost on the highway after the driver decides to take a detour. Soon a strange woman appears and torments the girls and force them to take off their clothes and sudden get back in her car and leaves them alone. The ease of the girls will not last too much because the crazy woman return and she will not quit until she will heart them.Acting is dreadful, a bunch of hysterical girls can not call themselves actresses, only shouts and screams, that will make you want to rip out your hair out. The picture is just lame, camera work very bad, I had trouble many time so figure out what are they saying but I think that in one scene a girl says: "Do not go outside, if you'll go out she will catch you and if she catches you she will kill you and if she kills you then you're dead." Yes this a statement that stands up to the intelligence of the ones involved in this. I don't want to offend anyone but this is just silly and if you don't believe me, then go and judge for yourself. This film is a shame brought to the cinema and you must skip it.
View MoreIts a shame that some of you don't recognize brilliance when you see it. Five Across The Eyes is a horror movie masterpiece! It is by far the best horror movie ever made! The end!!! It is the only horror movie that can successfully disturb and horrify me every time I watch it. I've lost count of the number of times I've watched it and the tool box scene makes me sick to my stomach every time! The Blair Witch cinematography is brilliant. It made me feel like I was watching actual real footage and not just some crappy bigger budget Hollywood movie like The Strangers for instance. Or the horrendous remake of Friday the Thirteenth. Both of which are terrible terrible movies. But the cinematography in Five Across The Eyes makes it feel totally realistic. I believed what I saw on the screen was actually happening. And that made it all the scarier and completely pulled me into the film from beginning to end.At first the acting seems like it might not be that good but that is not the case. As the movie progresses the acting by the girls felt so natural that I forgot that I was watching actresses and the five girls became real people to me. And that made me genuinely like and care about them and root for their survival. And Veronica Garcia as the deranged woman that is terrorizing these poor girls is absolutely mind blowing! She is the most psychotic and sadistic villain ever to be seen in a horror movie! There are not enough good things I can say about this movie. The musical score and soundtrack is great. The song that plays when the girls finally exact their revenge is perfect. The cinematography is brilliant. The acting is natural and believable. The dialogue is good and often times funny. The ending is brilliant! This is the only horror movie I've ever watched that left me completely satisfied at the end. It is the epitome of what a horror movie should be and it proves that you don't need a huge budget to make a masterpiece.
