The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Married Baby

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

I'm so glad people are making entertaining movies that don't have perversions of all sorts in them. This movie is exciting and fun, but hauntingly frightening at the same time.At least some filmmakers understand we audiences are intelligent enough to be entertained by movies with good moral content. It's an action film I won't be afraid to see with my kids. I only hope more movies like this can be made. I'm so tired of filmmakers pushing their demoralizing agendas on us. Movies like this give me hope that I can still find quality entertainment. The acting was good and the special effects were also. I can't wait until the next Gone movie is released. At least I hope there is a next one.I also wish these sorts of movies would be released in theaters. I refuse to pay $9 to see the filth that theaters show now a days but I would pay that much to see movies like this one.

See this movie if you love cinema. Enjoy the things about cinema that make it great. Take a small pillow for your butt cheeks because almost 2 hours of sitting in an uncomfortable theater seat will make you wish you had. But fear not. There is so much non-stop action you won't notice the discomfort too much. The film has obvious flaws, trite clichés, and phony science, but if you are a fan of 50's sci-fi, you will love this movie. And remember, don't take it too seriously folks, just enjoy it. The end of the world isn't going to happen in 2012, there really aren't any giant grasshoppers, ants, or lizards roaming the Earth, and no one's career is going to end because of their role in this movie. It is Hollywood having a good time with a controversial subject. Nothing new there.Enjoy the show!

When I first saw the previews for this movie, it had me interested. A movie about guys who are left behind - it didn't seem to deep, but I thought it would provide entertainment. I had heard buzz about, a few of my friends raved about it for a few days, and I was convinced. I should see this movie. I went to my local video store and picked up the last remaining DVD. I popped it in, sat in amazement until the last credit rolled, and then watched it again. And again. And again. This movie is dark and disturbing, however, it is equally smart and stylistic. I found it hard to watch at points, but I couldn't turn my eyes away. GONE makes many bold statements against the modern consumer-driven society, and produces a tingling feeling- WHAT IF GOD ACTUALLY EXISTS?

I truly do NOT understand why Gone was attacked as viscously as it was by the film media (there films much more worthy of the Golden Raspberry). I loved this film and was very impressed with the loving amount of dedication that it demonstrates on the part of the actors, writers and director. This was a GOOD movie: it had a strong and intelligent story; excellent and interesting characters; and real feel for the post-Apocalypse genre. I felt that the actor's everyman act worked beautifully in this film and created a sense of reality for the character and of his situation. 3 lawyers get left behind in the Philippines - awesome and amazing idea.Overall, this is a complex and entertaining film and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in examinations of American culture and tradition, perhaps as a double feature with Citizen Cane (I am not, however, claiming that Gone was as good a film as Citizen Cane, only that they have a similar theme... what does it mean to be an American?).
