One of the best films i have seen

not as good as all the hype

For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!

I just watched "Gridiron Gang" and I would have to say this is one of the best movies I have seen. This movie shows a group of people that come from different gangs even backgrounds can overcome so much and achieve a goal together. In "Gridiron Gang" a group of kids locked up for things they shouldn't have done. During the beginning of the movie they never got along and always got into fights The counselor Sean Porter also known as Dwayne Johnson was getting angry how over 70% of kids were going back to jail. Roger Weathers( Michael J. Pagan) was an inmate that Sean Porter saw potential in was released and within 3 days of being released Roger was run down in a drive by and killed. That was when Sean Porter decided he needed to do something different. After Will Weathers(Jade York) Rogers cousin, also was sent to the Juvenile Center SEan Porter know he had a second chance to do something for Roger. So Sean Porter had an idea about creating a football team to teach them teamwork and discipline.Willy and Donald Madlock(James Earl) were rival gang member in Los Angeles which made everything cooler about the movie since "Gridiron Gang" was filmed in LA. For Example Agoura Hills, Camp Kilpatrick, Los Angeles, San Francisco , and also Westlake. This movie was filmed within 92 days(May 23-August 23, 2005). Willy and Madlock were the best inmate actors because they had to show the most hatred towards each other and towards the end the had the most change between characters. Sean Porter(Dwayne Johnson) did the best job showing leadership and getting them to listen to him. You could really tell towards the end of the movie they looked up to him and thanked him the most.This movie was a good movie overall. "Gridiron Gang" had a lot of good aspects such as good camera angles, lighting, scenery, and most of all the story flowed smoothly without skipping around Although like every movie there has to be dislikes. For example all of the unnecessary swearing and cursing throughout.This film is good at teaching a lesson/theme. The movie "Gridiron Gang" teaches young kids with a bad childhood and gives them hope again after they get out. I learned for this movie that everyone comes for different family's, situation, and backgrounds. I hope the readers will learn the same thing I did Even more.If you are wondering if you should watch this movie, and you around 50 and older you may not like this movie. On the other hand if you are a teenager and are into sports you will enjoy this inspirational movie.I would give this film a rating of 4 stars. "Gridiron Gang" wasn't the best movie I have seen , but it was an emotional movie. It also did not jump around like most movies do it had smooth transactions.I am a 17 year old male that is currently a junior at the Greene County Career Center. My major is Automotive Technology and I really enjoy what I do. I am Currently working at Young's Golden Jersey Inn and I have worked there for about three years now. I have played football since 4th grade and only baseball for two years. On my free time I like to skateboard only when it is warm out. On the other hand when it's cold I like to sit inside and play video games.

I just watched The Gridiron Gang and in my opinion it was a very good movie I liked how it could go from being in a serious position to making the seriousness funny and I thought it did a good job in showing how much the football program changed the teens lives. The movie took place in an all-male juvenile detention center, the main characters include Shawn played by The Rock, Willie Weathers played by Jade Yorker, Junior played by Setu Taase, Roger played by Michael J. Pagan, and Bates played by Trevor O'Brien. The story of The Gridiron Gang is about teens who have all made the worst decisions possible in life from murder to robbery but they all end up together in the detention center hating each other, having family problems, and just completely hating life but the guard who watches them named Shawn (The Rock) forms a football team hoping to change them for the better to keep them alive. I really thought the acting in this movie was close to perfect especially The Rock I thought he killed the part of Shawn the only thing about the acting I didn't like was I thought Willie (Jade Yorker) was kind of out of tone with the character at certain times but overall the acting was near perfect. I think the overall theme of the story was don't judge people by their actions in the past kind of like the saying don't judge a book by it cover, this film taught me to not judge people by their actions in the past and I think it will teach others that to. I think people who don't like sports or drama movies should not watch this movie because they probably won't like it but if you do like sports and dramas then this movie is for you, out of a five star rating I would give this movie a three out of five.

I just finished watching the inspirational movie The Grid Iron Gang. I believe this was a good movie that shows how no matter the background people can learn to get along.This movie was centered on building respect and trust between juvenile delinquents though creating a football team. The juveniles started with no respect just hate and ended up acting as a team through standing up for each other.The most important characters in my eyes are, Dwayne Johnson as Sean Porter, Jade Yorker as Willie Weathers, Setu Taase as Junior Palaita, Michael J. Pagan as Roger Weathers and David V. Thomas as Kelvin Owens. Dwayne was the coach in this movie that made them believe in themselves. I liked how you can see the change of the characters point of view on life as the movie progresses. I personally didn't want to watch this movie at first, because I thought this was just going to be another gang violence move, But after watching it I believe that people can change for the better or worst fast. I would watch it again if I was given the chance. I would recommend this movie to all age groups above 15 years of age. I would rate this movie at 9 stars based on the changes that the kids made during the movie. Cody is a junior in high school that likes to fish, hunt and camp. He doesn't play sports or have a job at the moment.

Shawn wanted to get them out of the gang life and help them make something out of their lives.I think Jade Yorker did a great job playing Willie Weathers. He was emotional and a great football player. He surprised me when he saved Kalvin's life. Dwayne Johnson was good at playing Shawn Porter the coach, and a guard at the juvenile jail. L. Scott Caldwell was good at playing Shawn Porter's mother. Her character encouraged all the boys to do better. Willie Weathers made his touch down for Shawn's. Mother. Rate: 9 because his mom died and it would have been better if she lived. Length: The film was 125 minutes long but kept my interest the whole time.
