Memorable, crazy movie
everything you have heard about this movie is true.
View Morea film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
View MoreThe movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
View MoreThis is a concert that features one of folk rock's most profound and important figures. Joni Mitchell is an amazing singer and artist who draws on experiences ranging from her travels across the country to the time she spent in the Canadian wilderness. This concert is a testimony towards Joni's talent. A must see my any Mitchell fan. The music played in the performance spans over four decades. Joni Mitchell performs in an intimate setting and plays with a jazzy light feel found in albums like Hejira. Gram Nash is also present at this concert Joni's paintings are shown off too. A great great performance. Although the concert is more recent, Joni has not lost any skill and her voice has remained unique.
View MoreIf you like Hejira, this is right up your alley. I saw this on ovation not too long ago. If you get ovation, they have a website. Go to their website and simply look up "Joni". This concert should come up... check back ever so often to see if they have it scheduled. She plays with her ex-husband, who plays electric bass, alongside a drummer, steel-guitarist, trumpet-player, and of course, herself, on guitar. She plays amelia, hejira, coyote, big yellow taxi, sex kills, and others. She plays an amazing version of Woodstock, on guitar, at the end, that set me into a trance. If you like her early stuff, this is way different. I love Song To A Seagull, but I like her later work as well. It'd be nicer to see this film with out all the commercials, so rent or buy a copy if you can, and if you like Joni, especially her album Hejira.
