Surprisingly incoherent and boring

if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

In recent years, Justin Timberlake's been forcefully trying to sell to the world that he can act. For a superstar of his stature, he's done just fine at picking the right roles to showcase his good looks and undeniable charisma, most notably putting both to good use as Sean Parker in The Social Network. But as Jonathan Demme's concert documentary Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids indisputably shows, Timberlake is only truly in his element when on stage being a showman.

Here's what sets apart a director like Jonathan Demme from the average journeyman or hired-gun, and certainly one must note that one could have made a concert/documentary movie about Justin Timberlake performing with the Tennessee Kids in Las Vegas in entertaining fashion and style simply by presenting the group as is. The energy is difficult not to capture from Timberlake who, however you feel about his songs, is a massively talented singer and who makes sure to give these people who likely paid several dozen arms and legs and other limbs to make it to see his live (final on this tour) performance with this great back-up band. But what Demme adds to the equation is genuine human interest and a sense of cutting and framing that is unparalleled; seriously, if Scorsese had directed this it wouldn't have been as interesting as what Demme does. Well I have to say I had the chance to see this show here in Philadelphia.And I really loved it.my all time favorite JT look I totally agree.this is a classic Justin Timberlake concert. I'm looking forward to the release of this tour on DVD and hope it is the entire show unedited and with a bunch of bonus footage.he is a great artist.the best out there...and still at the top and going strong.long live JT!

a great music film this is the words which i can say about Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids great work by Jonathan demme and great performance bt Justin Timberlake is this movie a history is counted they show the people the history not just the concert i love how jonathan direct this and i love the edition i love how justin timberlake is humble and lovely funny smart with everybody i'm more in love with him Along with the main attraction, they put on a helluva show, and Demme makes sure as a director to get an appropriate tone depending on what song is up - so when it's just Timberlake with his guitar, he stays on him, where-as if there's a number involving EVERYONE (including the audience, and unlike Stop Making Sense he does involve them since, frankly, Timberlake is the kind of performer that asks the audience to come in on songs with him, not obnoxiously so but enough to keep things energized), he has a crane shot showing everyone in the arena, and then goes in close and captures the camaraderie of the musicians.
