A lot more amusing than I thought it would be.

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

I was totally disappointed towards the ending sequences. The big reveal left me wondering just who did the research on Military and their families.Anyways, moving right along ... The delivery fails so dramatically I find it hard to give this fluke a better rating til I see it a second time to see if I missed something. The story hits all the right notes. Faith. Loss of faith. Failure. Redemption. Faith regained and the ending with all the soldiers standing watch and giving assistance boosts this story back up ... we are never alone.But it isn't enough of a boost after the wooden performances turned in by all the actors. For that I blame a lack of inspired direction and giving this excellent story i high rating after a failure of performance would reward a director wrongly.

This movie is about a little boy who's Dad has to deploy overseas. While he is gone things happen to make life even harder than just missing his Dad. It opened my eyes to how difficult life is for those at home. We often salute the soldiers but the families left behind are heroes as well. Fortunately, some strong men step up to help out. This movie is clean as well. A nice family movie that I would enjoy for a good movie night. Of course the soundtrack is outstanding! I also was pleased to see Trace Adkins show up. He is always supportive of our Troops.You will be proud of our soldiers and their families in this movie. Don't forget to grab your Kleenex.

Lifted was a great movie!! It was like a hidden treasure that appeared in my movie file as a recommendation. Great suggestion! I watched the film 3-4 times.The movie has a great storyline. The main character, Henry Matthews, is facing the challenges of being a tween growing up in the South. Nevertheless, he has a strong bond with his father and pastor in the community. Though the Matthews family is financially poor, they are rich in love and talent. The family faces real-life issues and overcomes obstacles with faith, music and unity. The story is uplifting, and the musical talent is great! I highly recommend this movie for anyone, especially for veterans and even families with children 10+ years.

I have watched this movie 5 times in the last two months. I have had everyone who comes to my home watch it! This movie inspires me to thank every military member I see in my path! It has a twist in the storyline which makes it unpredictable and entertaining. It touches deep to many people with addictions, loss of family members and abuse! Life struggles are a common thread we all share and this story touches on them and gives hope. My five year old loves to sing along and I am floored by Henry's amazing voice! I hope to see him go far with his singing career. I don't recognize these actors but I believe they did a wonderful job in their roles. I felt sadness, anger, happiness, worry, hope and love. Great movie! Thank you
