Stylish but barely mediocre overall
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

View MoreOkay, so although most-likely everyone that's seen this creepy-as-creepy-can-be short will already know I really wanna say it anyway, that it strongly appears to be a macabre parody of a super-popular Youtube video called "Ninja Cat", as it's basically the same idea except it's horror-themed and is also a little reminiscent of that famous scene from "Poltergeist" where Robbie is menaced by the stealthy wicked clown doll that he hates, except in this it's a kid tucked up in bed reading "The Vault of Horror" comic book(a very nice affectionate touch) who's own doll springs to life and very eerily begins to slowly creep up to him. And the way that it's done is simple but effective, you never see it move, it just appears closer and closer every time the boy hides his face under the covers, until it's right in front of his face... Now this is totally the short's best part and is what made me really like it and give some very rare kudos to, because this tiniest of horror shorts actually really took me by surprise and made me jump and cry out, which is something that just never happens to me in general with the horror stuff, but it really got me when the kid pulled down his covers and instead of the clown doll being there which was fine but kinda plain-looking, there was an actual life-sized snarling demonic clown ready to eat him alive, and then it ends! And then after that it holds on the still doll for a full two minutes straight, and I was really nervous watching that because I didn't know if it was gonna turn into a monster again and rush at the camera in classic fashion. And did it? I can't tell you that, it'd completely ruin the fun and mystique of the moment, come on now! To me this is a very good short that successfully combines the terrors of dolls coming to life and clowns to deliver a great fright - use it on some unsuspecting dupe that you know to give them the heeby-jeebies today!!! See ya!
