Purely Joyful Movie!

Brilliant and touching

Sammy-Jo Cervantes

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

I felt so furious during the first 20 minutes. Not at the movie, but at what happened there. A movie star (Laramie) and his family become the targets of ruthless Paparazzi that do anything for a "good" story. Yet you can't deny the argument of Rex Harper, the leader of the Paparazzi group, when he explains his reasons and thinking to a random woman he met. He says that people don't approve his means, but are just fine with the reading and watching the results. They want the outcome, but nothing have to do with how it was achieved. That's a strong message and it has you thinking. Good job with that. Anyway, the group of "evil" Paparazzi causes the actor and his family to get into a car accident. His wife gets wounded and his child is in a coma. As fate or luck would have it, another accident causes one of the Paparazzi to get in mortal danger, his life depending on the helpfulness of Laramie. So far, so good. But for some reason they decided that the Paparazzi would threaten to destroy more of Laramie's life even before he was saved. Given the deviousness and slyness they had shown so far, this is highly unrealistic and unbelievable. Necessary for the plot, maybe. But it doesn't make any sense. Same goes for the second Paparazzi. While he is stopped by the police and tries to draw the driver license out of his jacket, he pulls out a gun instead. A gun that Laramie placed there so that the police would shoot the Paparazzi. Yeah right, because a gun feels just like a driver license. "Oh, that feels weird. I better get it out and check what it is. Right now!" Meanwhile an older detective tries to figure what's behind all the accidents, starting from the first one early in the movie. But it takes him an hour to even think about checking the traffic cams for proof of what's really happened. Because when there's a traffic accident in the middle of the city with unclear guild party (and one fatality), the traffic cams are apparently the last thing you'd check. Stupid. Sadly that describes big parts of movie. Well, it did have a good start and the end was kind of okay. All things considered it's about average.

Entertanig crime-thriller with important message, and feels like actually also for those are in the title, this will makes them think how to work in the future. There is a cop in the story, who is very smart, but some of the users do not understand all of the twists, and we actually have some mild twists. This film works as dark comedy, but decent for that in all terms, good acting, script, and short roles for famous actors. All of us waited this movie, maybe is not all of us will tells the truth honestly, but this film was a good lesson as warning for those does not respect you all the time,in any way it would be important to others.7/10-has interesting elements, and message.

This is a cheesy revenge flick produced by Mel Gibson. The film shows nasty paparazzi hounding an upright, decent family man (Cole Hauser) who's just become a major movie star. He fights back after his family is assaulted by these lowlife journalists. Mel Gibson clearly has some issues with the media, and this film feels like vicarious wish fulfillment. Unfortunately, it isn't very good. The PG-13 rating limits the violence making the whole thing feel rather lame. The acting is mediocre and the characters all one-note. Cheesy but not enjoyable. Watch only if bored.Overall 3/10

Bo Laramie (Cole Hauser) is a new rising action movie-star in Hollywood. His new film is an box office hit. He lives with an beautiful wife (Robin Tunney) and their young son (Blake Michael Byran) in a Hollywood home. Bo is new with the paparazzi but he would never expected that he will find himself stalked by a sleazy photographer (Tom Sizemore) and his co-workers (Daniel Baldwin, Tom Hollander and Kevin Gage). Bo's family are photographed as well. When he punched the photographer out of anger, the situation (especially his career) gets worse. When these photographers accidentally cause an automobile accident with Bo and his family. His wife is badly hurt and his son is in a coma. Bo turns himself into a vigilante person. He stalks the photographers, Who cause the accident but Bo finds himself questioned by a dedicated detective (Dennis Farina). Which this detective has an feeling that Bo isn't what he seems to be.Directed by Paul Abascal made an reasonable, routine but an nicely done thriller. This film is probably more of an joy for the Hollywood Actors. Who always find themselves stalked, being in paparazzi nightmares in public or being photographed in the most unappealing moments in their private life's than the causal moviegoer. This is certainly an Guilty Pleasure for Two Time Oscar-Winner:Mel Gibson. Who also being one of the producers of this movie. Which Gibson quoted "What a great revenge film this would make".DVD has an good anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) transfer (also in Pan & Scan) and an fine:Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. DVD has an reasonable interesting commentary track by the director, deleted scenes with optional commentary track by the director, two featurettes and original theatrical trailer. Since this film was an box office disappointment. Although there's good performances by Hauser, Farina and Sizemore at his slimy best. This thriller will certainly play better on DVD. Watch for Chris Rock, Tim Thomerson, Mel Gibson (The producer of this flick), Paul Abascal (The director of this film), Matthew McConaughey and Vince Vaughn in amusing cameos. This film about sleazy paparazzi and Hollywood actor fighting back is certainly an fascinating curio movie. However, it's worth a look. Super 35. (*** ½/*****).
