The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

Good plot, scenery and memorable acting! Interplay between main characters was fascinating! The standout was Bruce Boxleitner as the business-savvy but emotionally-naive American in Singapore, fatally falling for a married woman with "business" plans of her own. Memorable scenes include his finding her hubby's stabbed body & then fleeing madly down crowed Singapore streets in an effort to escape. His naiveté and trust of the black widow doesn't leave until the near-final scene with her at the prison. For steam, Boxleitner & Hershey (or their body doubles?) sitting on the floor & undressing each other rivals the so-called "towel" scene. All in all, "Passion Flower" is a garden of delight for any Boxleitner fan, or anyone who enjoys a spicy suspense flick.
