The Worst Film Ever
The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.
View MoreA lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
View MoreAmazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
View MoreThe plot to the book is very good, but in the movie almost everything changes. For example, Clarrise and Ares aren't in the movie at ALL, Luke is the one who places the master bolt on his shield that he gives Percy (which isn't in the book at all), while in the book Luke steals the bolt, then gives it to Ares, who puts it in the bag that he gives Percy at a diner. If you HAVEN'T read the book, you will likely enjoy this movie. I give it a 7/10 stars, only because of how much I liked the book.
View MoreIt really was awful. It was nothing like the book and was such a major let down after all the suspense and excitement. Honestly disappoitned and I pray someone else redoes this movie properly.
View Morethe worst movie I have ever seen. so I had to do assignment comparing a book to the movie, so I chose this particular titles since I've read all pf the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and adored them all. but no! this was nothing like the book! HERE IS WHATS Different. ANNABETH HAS BLOND HAIR AND GREY EYES, NOT BLUE EYES AND BROWN HAIR! MRS. DODDS IS A MATH TEACHER, NOT AN English TEACHER! ALSO THEY CHANGED THE QUESTION CHION AKED PERCY, AND PERCY WAS SUPPOSED TO GET THE QUESTIO HALF RIGHT! CHIRON NEVER Threatened MRS. DODDS WITH THE SWORD, HE ACTUALLY THREW THE PEN CASUALLY TO PERCY SAYING"TALLY HO!" there is way more differences(this is only 1% of the differences), but I don't feel like writing anymore. my suggestion? Read the book, don't watch the movie and you'll be happier.
View MoreAnybody who is a fan of the Percy Jackson series would be excited to watch the movies that accompany the books, but would be greatly disappointed. Chris Columbus, the director of some great movies, such as the first three Harry Potter Movies, directed this tragedy of a film.Percy Jackson and the Olympians, written by Rick Riordan, follows the adventurous life of Percy Jackson, a demigod whose father is none other than Poseidon himself. Twelve-year-old Percy was played by eighteen-year-old Logan Lerman. One of the first scenes shown is Grover Underwood, played by Brandon T. Jackson, saying, "Oh, like high school without the musical." Because a twelve-year-old would definitely be attending high school, instead of, oh I don't know, sixth grade. Played by Alexandrio Daddario, Annabeth Chase, who had blonde hair and gray eyes, a sign of being a daughter of Athena, was nowhere to be found. Instead the appearance of her hair was of burnt toast. Some other details that are somewhat vital to the story, were completely ignored. Such as the entire plot. The beginning of the movie starts off decently well, but starts to crumble when they begin their journey. Instead of going to the Underworld in an attempt to retrieve Zeus' master bolt, they were instead going to the Underworld to save Percy's dear mother. Some of the events that led up to them getting to the Underworld were accurate, but most of it was not. Throughout most of the movie, they were instructed to find pearls to escape from the Underworld once they retrieved Percy's mother, but in the books, there was absolutely nothing about finding "Persephone's pearls."Going along with the idea of Persephone, she assists Percy during his quest in someway I won't reveal for those who want to watch this unreliable movie. Although, Percy never encountered Persephone until the last book in the series, and only for a short moment. The movie ended with an intense battle between Percy and another character, which I also won't unveil, who supposedly died at the end of it. In the books, no battle took place between them, and instead of the character dying, they simply went missing, leaving Percy to perish alone.Although the plot wasn't completely on par with the books, I must admit the movie was still entertaining to watch. If someone were to watch this movie with no background knowledge of Percy Jackson whatsoever, it'd probably be a decent movie. But somewhat adequate CGI and snippets of humor, does not make up for everything. It is still insulting to die hard fans who absolutely adore this series, myself included. Those who watched the movie before reading the books, were fed bucketfuls of false information.
