A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

I was very surprised after watching this movie. I really was not expecting it to be as good as it was, being that it did not make it to the big screens. Even if the critics were to tear it to pieces, much worse films make it to the big screens every week. I can definitely recommended it as a very enjoyable "Guy flick". It's got a good fair share of action for a thriller. It may not be a "Chick flick" but it has a sufficient amount of romance to make a good date movie. Over all the acting was great. The Plot has it's twist and turns to keep you from getting bored from predictability, which is the norm for most thrillers. If I was to find one thing to pick at. Maybe they could have cut the segment and story relating to the whipping scene. Was not very believable as the type of reaction you would expect from the main character. Maybe they wanted to show some extra skin. However it's a sure entertaining movie.

I thought the kids were fantastic. I really liked all their characters a lot. They did not make the best choices, but how many of us did at that age? I mean, they are just kids. So, I think they definitely came across as likable and relatable. Plus, Haley Webb is incredibly hot in this movie! She definitely brings a lot to the table in that regard. Otherwise, I thought the story was pretty exciting and it had lots of thrills! Also, all of the action and intense moments definitely kept me going, right up until the end of the movie. I would recommend this movie to action-seekers and I'll be watching it more than once for sure.

My girlfriends and I rented Rushlights on Redbox this weekend to see what all the fuss was about. People seem to love it or hate it. The people I see trashing this film obviously have gotten their critique credentials from Youtube or Vine. I don't think Rushlights is trying to be universally liked; it's not trying to be a Hollywood blockbuster. And maybe that's why some people are reacting so strongly. I think this is because Rushlights is a movie that is loyal only unto itself. For the record: We loved it! Some people are complaining about the characters Josh Henderson and Haley Webb play, saying that they're hard to like. That's kind of the point isn't it? Both of these young characters get lost in shades of gray when they venture down to Texas, their demons come back to haunt them at the worst possible times. They're delinquent kids and don't always make the best choices. And there's nothing to go back to for them. It's completely appropriate to have mixed feelings about the couple! That's evidence of the effectiveness of the storytelling! The things they do are wild and unthinkable, desperate. But would we do anything different? These two are stranded in the world with nothing but each other to cling to. If you want to experience a truly compelling story, with intense visuals and an unexpected ending, Rushlights will be the film to push your critical boundaries and leave you breathless.

I rented Rushlights because I'm a big fan of Josh Henderson and the new Dallas series. After seeing it all I can say is I'm glad he's got the gig in Dallas because his career might be toast after this one got inflicted on the movie-going public. It also didn't do the careers of the established Beau Bridges and Aidan Quinn who play a pair of brothers a sheriff and a lawyer respectively in the quaint Texas town of Tremo.A mutual friend of their's overdosed on some drugs, but in searching her Henderson's girlfriend found a letter saying she's the heir to a fortune down in good old Tremo, a good old boys town if there ever was one. They decide to have the girlfriend Haley Webb pose as the deceased heiress figuring they'd collect the money and scoot. But of course it doesn't work out that way, especially after the late millionaire is discovered to have been murdered. There's quite a few more complications and maybe had the film had better direction it might have been enjoyable. But it moves at such a sluggish pace that every twist of the plot just slows it down.Rushlights was not a good career move for anyone involved.
