This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.

The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.

This movie is bad. Cinematography is quite OK but acting is awful. Actually acting is not THE problem: it's the story that lacks of rhythm. Watching is a torture so I fast forwarded, but later it was boring as before.Furthermore the plot is totally not believable. Bullies are kids like the others: they are not nice, but definitely they do not deserve those tortures! Are the bullied psychopaths? No, they are not. Psychos do not need a whole night to exploit their madness. So what are they? I wish I knew! The characters are so badly designed that they even fail to be amusing, like in Saw or in Texas Massacre to name a few. They are meaningless. So the movie fails to be an horror because it is too mild and it fails to be a drama because it is far from realistic and you cannot fell empathy for any of the characters.Don't waste your time, do not watch this movie.2/10

The Final is a pretty low budget horror film, which could be described as 'post Hostel torture porn.' And, the first thing I have to say is that it appears not to be for everyone.I really liked it, but, if you read the numerous reviews, you'll find that just over fifty per cent seemed to really hate it. It's nothing that special, but I thought it was a nice enough idea to elevate it from the mounds of horror b-movies, infesting the DVD stores. It's about a group of bullied students who decide to take some - pretty deadly - revenge on their 'uber cool' tormentors, in the form of drugging them all at a party and then... let's just say they don't just tweet nasty messages about the bullies. However, don't go expecting piles and piles of blood and gore. The film is distinctly low budget and I'm guessing they couldn't afford to have too many realistic limbs flying in all directions. Therefore, what 'gore' there is, is implied and left to your imagination. However, despite the low budget, all the actors play their parts pretty well.I think you're enjoyment from the film will stem from whether you can identify with the psychotic 'killer' kids. It certainly makes a change to have some sympathy with the killers, rather than the victims. If you like the Hostel-type film and you're not bothered by a lack of gore in your horror films, then you might like The Final (if anything else, it's a stark warning not to bully!).

Surprisingly, when I heard torture, disfigurement, I thought "Gee, Hostel, teenager style!!". However, the movie turns out to be a much milder version of Hostel, which is probably why I didn't find it in the least horrific. I was actually cheering for our antagonists (hmm... is that the right usage here...) and disappointed that they didn't get to them all. Yes, it sounds very harsh, but bullies gotta know that if you push someone too far, it just might come back and bite you in the ass.So, that being said, I liked it. The young actors played their roles well. I especially liked Emily, played by Lindsay Seidel. Cool and calm (well except during the mishap with Ravi) she played up her torture scenes well. And of course there was the banjo.Cheers

This starts out as a simple , honor student vs Joe quarterback / prom queen .. High tempo , fast paced and to the point .Simple revenge quickly escalates out of control .. Exciting simple movie ... A few gory parts , making it interesting to the traditional horror viewer But noting very extensive .... Just what you have come to expect ....from good vs bad rich vs poor... Little comedy or satire slices fitting into a well orchestrated plan of revenge and twisted justice ... All in all "b" grade cast "b" grade acting and a grade "A"simple storylineIf you can make it past the acting and the script the movie is quite enjoyable... Simple fun Friday night
