Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.

Good movie but grossly overrated

Good concept, poorly executed.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

The third in a series of films about the gendarmes of Saint Tropez is also failing to keep up with the first, but it is better than the second and a decent choice when you want to rest your brain. The same team continues in the same manner and if you do not expect too much you will not be disappointed. I liked the comparison that I found in one of the reviews for this film, where the crazy nun, who in every movie appears at the right time to give a lift to Cruchot, is compared to Sandra Bullock in "Speed".6,5/10

it is the word who defines each part of series. and nothing surprising. because the genius of Louis de Funes has great support of the best partners. France Rumilly is the memorable example as the eccentric nun saving the poor Cruchot. Claude Gensac is the perfect lady colonel and her charm , ambition and noble feelings for Cruchot reminds the flavor of French Medieval literature about the love . and, sure, Michel Galabru who is just perfect as the brave Gerber. but, out of any doubt, the lead character is Saint Tropez. not surprising.

The third installment in the Gendarme series.Cruchot is a widower and he falls in love with a wealthy widow ,Josepha (Claude Gensac).But his daughter is not prepared to accept it and she first refuses this new "mother" .But do not panic,things will turn out fine,under Saint Tropez's luminous blue sky.The regular guests are all here .Cruchot's superior (Michel Galabru)is making it rough all over.Cruchot's colleagues are all present too.And let's not forget the inevitable Deux-Chevaux of the nun who appears in every episode of the saga. Sandra Bullock in "speed" a quarter of century before it happened.

A delicious movie, if you don't like to think too much when watching. Set in the beautiful background of late '60s St. Tropez, we see Louis de Funes and his companions doing all kinds of comic stuff in a slapstick kind of way. Don't forget the beautiful Genevieve Grad...True feelgood-movie style !!!
