Overrated and overhyped

True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

I never wrote a review but this film is so bad i couldn't stand it.This is one of the worst movies I've seen.A failed attempt of Zoolander.Bad jokes, poor acting, no story.Steve Carrel was a genius in the office but this is Incredible sad.A waste of time, except for some few moments Jim Carrey made me laugh.Olivia is beautiful, a pity seeing her in this horrible film.It is sad to see good actors with so poor script.luckily I did no pay for watching it.I got the feeling the director thinks the audience is stupid.

I'll start out by saying that this movie is not really worth watching. It's too bad because of all the great actors and actresses in it but it's just boring and doesn't provide any sort of joy. I'm not sure who wrote the movie but it appeared as though there was very little effort put into it. My kids didn't like it as well so I'm not really sure who the target audience is. Steve Carrell and Steve Buscemi are great actors but this just wasn't meant to be, they look out of place and are not very convincing that they are magicians. The only reason this movie was not an utter failure was because of Jim Carrey. Now this wasn't a Jim Carrey classic performance but it at least injected some comedy into a rather unfunny movie otherwise. I had high hopes seeing all the great actors in this movie but it was truly a dud, one that i will likely never watch again. 5/10.

What is happening to comedy? This is another "comedy" which hopes to get a whole movie's worth of entertained with just an opening comedic premise followed by an hour of utter chaos.This movie starts with a workable comedic premise, but after a few minutes, it devolves into a long (very long) slog through a hodge podge of unrelated shtick, a disappearing plot, bad taste, unfunny grossouts, juiceless sex, pointless detours, to get to a really stupid, ill conceived conclusion.Doesn't anybody view this stuff and then cut and reshoot so that the final product is coherent? Doesn't anyone involved have any pride? There was a lot of talent in this movie. Shouldn't performers have some say in what is finally released?

OK, only part way through flick, but is it supposed to be a comedy? I see two main characters are comedian type actors, but so far haven't seen anything humorous. Possibly my age is a factor, but I have found humor in W.C. fields's work and as far as 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force', so, perhaps this is a life time movie of the week? My review is ; "really?" And, "why".OK, as a bonus, "sad".May we ask our selves why a review has to be ten lines? And, why do we think this movie kind/type of comedy is "funny"'? I have no answer, sorry.
