Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

That was an excellent one.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

The acting in this movie is really good.

Was this movie edited by Salvador Dali on drugs? When I'm trying to get invested in a movie, it's important to have a vague idea of what's going on. When your killer teleports as often as this guy does, you have two options: learn basic editing or, if you don't have the talent for that, write in a line about how he knows teleportation. Writer/Director/Star Stephen Tyler (not to be confused with the much scarier Steven Tyler) never made another horror movie after this one, and neither did any of his actors. I'd be grateful for that, but then again: "The Last Slumber Party" is also intensely fascinating. How bad can a movie get before you stop calling it a movie? You just stare in awe because you have no idea what the next scene will bring. When you look at it that way, this is much more entertaining than a halfway competent project. My favorite parts: every time our mad psychopath (Tyler himself) opens his eyes real wide because he can't come up with any other way to act crazy. That's some great stuff.

A trio of attractive teenage girls decide to hold a slumber party in order to celebrate the last day of high school. A few guys show up to further enhance the merry festivities. However, things take a turn for the worse after a homicidal maniac (a hopelessly unscary and less than menacing portrayal by writer/director Stephen Tyler, who apparently thinks staring blankly into space is the stuff of true gut-churning horror) who has just escaped from a nearby mental hospital crashes the bash. Boy, does this exceptionally atrocious turkey possess all the right wrong stuff to qualify as a real four-star stinkeroonie: Slack (non)direction, a plodding pace, lousy community theater level acting by a lame no-name cast, rusty tin-eared dialogue (sample line: "My parents are such a drag!"), shockingly dumb and tasteless jokes about masturbation and homosexuality, tacky mild gore, a droning hum'n'shiver synthesizer score, a dopey protracted nightmare sequence, zero tension or creepy atmosphere, cruddy eye-straining cinematography, a hilariously dated head-bangin' 80's hair band rock soundtrack, and a groan-inducing "it was all just a bad dream" surprise twist ending. All that harsh criticism aside, redhead Jan Jensen, blonde Nancy Meyer, and brunette Joan Whitley all look mighty cute and sexy as our imperiled threesome of adolescent protagonists. An absolute cheesy hoot.

I want to start my review off in a positive manor, so let me just say I did enjoy this film. However, I didn't enjoy it for the right reasons.The Last Slumber Party was written and directed by Stephen Tyler (not of Aerosmith). I say written and directed very loosely, as well, because it seems to me like very little effort was put into this film, which is not uncommon, especially in the 80′s. However, little is excusable here. This film centers around a group of teenage girls on the last day of school, throwing a slumber party that a homicidal maniac decides to crash. Not an overly complex or original plot, although countless other films manage to pull it off much better. The acting in this film is atrocious. The characters have zero depth with the exception of a few small lines lifted from "Halloween." It's hard to give victims less character than your garden variety slasher movie, but this film does it. The editing and pacing are also quite bothersome for me. The editor must have also felt it necessary to use the same footage of the killer walking towards the camera over and over and over.This isn't a great way to spend a Saturday night, if you want to be scared, but if you want to watch a b-movie with your friends and have a good laugh, I fully recommend this movie.

I remember seeing this when I was like 11. I thought it was good then. But I got older and starting watching more b-movies and it turns out this one is pretty crappy. But it had a likability factor to it though. I think it's the cheesy dialogue and the really crappy 80's music. I was really disappointed that there was hardly any gore! To all you SPM fans out there. THIS IS NOT A SEQUEL TO THE SPM SERIES!!! Stay far away!!
