This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

A 'true' story about fraudulent researchers led by a chief fraud. Except that it doesn't show any of the fraud and hence is not that 'true'. The outing of Zimbardo, the chief researcher as a fraud may be a bad thing for the movie but a good thing for science.

The fact that this actually happened at a college, and Stanford nonetheless, just blows me away. Such an interesting story about what happens when people are put into a situation like this. Awesome movie

This is not a review - it's a question: how does this movie compare to the brilliant 2001 German film "Das Experiment", which was based on the same Stanford role-playing research? That was a very disturbing and horrifying movie and I can't imagine anything surpassing it - which is why I'd appreciate your feedback comparing these two films.
