Very well executed
Admirable film.
This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
View MoreMostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

View MoreSince I can't really add anything new or different to what others have written (basically, any review with score of 2 stars or less I'm in agreement with), I decided to add to the list of films Asylum should consider making:Battlestar Galaxia; Star Track, The Motion Movie; Star War IV, A New Hopefulness; Star War V, The Empire Stages a Counter-offensive; Star War VI, The Jedi Comes Back; Babylon 6; Lightning Bug; The Twilight AreaMaybe they should get into historical dramas:Approximately 300; The Passion of the Jesus; Troys; Inglorious Soldiers Who Never Knew Their Fathers; Spartacusus; Saving Corporal Ryan
View MoreOkay, I understand that the production company of this one isn't top notch, but, come on. The first time a regular gun doesn't even scratch one of the robots, that's when every single person with any kind of sense realizes that it's pointless to attempt a stand off with the robots. Matter of fact, you might as well just dump the gun. I think people like thriller type movies to posses some common sense. That just bugged me throughout the movie. Besides that, the graphics are below average, but good enough not to distract from paying attention. The acting ranges from good to bad. Unfortunately, the majority is pretty bad. The audio is horrendous. Echoes when there shouldn't be any, distortion during some suspenseful scenes, and airy. For the visual, there are many many scenes when this movie looks bootlegged. Many shots when the camera is too close to the actors face. The camera is shaky a lot. Some backgrounds did not move synchronized with the actors, obviously because it's a green screen. The storyline isn't bad, and the movie is entertaining, though just barely. Overall, slightly below average because the production and acting wasn't convincing. It wasn't a bad movie though, just not up to par.
View MoreThe script for this film is terrible. I had to go back a couple of times to re-watch certain scenes in order to follow the story. One example being the fact the TR-4 "were self-aware", yet the TR-5 model (as portrayed by the Sheriff) were not. In the logic of every Terminator supposedly bettering the previous model that aspect did not make sense. I suppose some of the effects were OK, especially those including multiple instances of the TR-4's. Interesting to note that when it is declared that all major cities in U.S.A. have been completely destroyed they are stated in apparent order of economic importance, with Portland getting the wooden spoon. I find it hard to believe that Miami could be ever destroyed either. Some of the acting is a bit like a 1980's teen-horror with a gang of kids and an adult all running around like headless chickens trying to think of a way to win, and what is with the Sheriff when he witness a nuke hit L.A. OK so he is revealed as a machine but at the time its as if he has just remembered he left the oven on. I suppose the actor who plays the character Chloe did an OK job. The guy portraying the TR-4 was abysmal and in scenes aboard the space station when they have lost all power you can even see him moving in the close ups. Poor, very poor. Furthermore as has already been stated by other reviewers, the guy is totally ripping off Arnie's style in his manner and even his initial move, where he rips the commanders heart out. I suppose that one could be construed as a typical Terminator programmed action...? It could have been better if the sheriff had not been so bad, his character totally lets the film down as does the fact that the military are virtually nowhere to be seen apart from at the end when a small band led by a guy resembling Busta Rhymes suddenly come into it. I doubt i will ever watch this movie again.
