I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.
View MoreAmazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
View MoreThere are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
View MoreThis movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
View MoreTom and Jerry must save a girl from her evil aunt. Tom and Jerry: The Movie might not be the best animated film of all time but it's better than most Tom and Jerry films this days. The animation is excellent and the storyline is sweet and pretty funny in general. I also love the whole plot with Robyn and the fact that both characters work together to save her make for an even more heart warming film also it was smart to have them talk this time around. Also nostalgia is a part of my love for the film since i remember growing up with the vhs so it's a fan favorite movie for me at least and honestly give it a shot and review it on your own and don't listen to the haters for once. (A+)
View MoreI saw the Nostalgia Critic's review of this film many times and it's so funny how I managed to see it on the day he reviewed the Willy Wonka Tom and Jerry movie! Probably the only good thing about this film is the animation. It's still not great, it's just decent. It's very hard to make a movie based on something that's only seven minutes long. In fact, the first seven minutes of this movie weren't bad! That's why I keep saying that many bad films would have worked better as short films, especially how this one was literally based on a series of short films. I think Tom's voice is so annoying.Tom and Jerry suddenly having voices doesn't even have that much relevance in the story. They fall into this same cliché where they focus on a random human instead of Tom and Jerry. We get a fairly large cast of goofy and obnoxious characters whom for the most part aren't very important. I couldn't believe this film had six songs in it! It's weird because I'm honestly not the biggest Tom and Jerry fan out there. Don't get me wrong, I definitely like it. I think that by watching bad movies like this and looking at stuff by the Nostalgia Critic do I realize that it probably holds up better as an adult. *1/2
View MoreNow how can you take one of the greatest cartoon teams of all time and almost ruin what makes them great?I know making them talk, these are two of the greatest silent film stars in history and you make them talk? Come on that is true injustice. While it may have try to target a new generation of fans for those of us who grew up watching the reruns on TV this is one of the biggest injustice ever done to a classic. The plot for the film is just ugh to say the least. The Animation in the film well some of it is good work but the rest is pretty much like watching a coloring book come to life. The music in the film is not even really convincing to sell the story.Even the story itself isn't all it crack up to be it just pretty much this film was made just to get some money and from what I learned it wasn't even a box office success. So pretty much stay away from this film if you love Tom and Jerry you will avoid this film.I give Tom and Jerry: The Movie a 2 out of 10
View MoreI was shocked when I found out how poorly this film is received. I think it fits the Hanna-Barbera T&J shorts very well. Many people seem to forget that Tom and Jerry aren't just archenemies but also friends... they can't live without each other. Things start like a typical T&J cartoon but there are some one-time changes for this special occasion: Tom and Jerry talk and put their differences aside to help a little girl. There's still some funny slapstick like Tom falling from the 2nd floor, Jerry getting burnt in a ship's boiler and a fish biting Tom's tail. The musical score is marvelous and works perfectly with the high-quality animation. Dana Hill was the best voice actor for Jerry. The Droopy cameo in this is actually funnier than the one in Roger Rabbit.
