Awesome Movie

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

I suppose those who love their guns to the detriment of all other concerns will have quickly given this movie a one-star rating while those who who view our fascination with guns as a sickness to our collective soul will give it ten.I don't know if this counts as a spoiler or not, but the movie is at its best when it portrays the deep grief of those who have lost someone they loved to gun violence in contrast to the rabble-rousing from the NRA as it stokes the furnace of fear it uses to keep its power. In the end, that's where we arrive--at a nation in emotional turmoil between those of us who grieve and those of us who fear. It doesn't speak well of us that its fear that appears to be winning.It's been almost seventeen hours since I saw the film Still disturbing is the surveillance footage from the cameras in the lobby at the theater in Aurora, Colorado. Though out of sight, one hears the popping of gunfire from one of the auditoriums. To understand the result of the noise is to grieve for both the immediate victims there and all of those that will follow as we remain a nation ensnared in the grip of madness.It would be nice to know what future generations will think when they see this movie. Let's hope they've achieved an intelligence and enlightenment that allows them to view us with the scorn we deserve. What a terrible legacy we leave them.At the start of this review I wrote that it's assumed that those who love their guns would give the movie a one-star rating while those who saw it as a film revealing a sickness in our collective soul would give it ten stars. This documentary is just rife with untruths. Its basically a Hitler style propaganda film. Just the fact that this would be considered a film is a disgrace. And its not just because its so anti gun, Michael Moore's "bowling for Columbine" shows both sides of the issue, and although I didn't agree, it was well made and had interesting cinematography as well as the music score. I can entertain the political directions, I can also suspend disbelief for different movies, but when its just lies, for her own gain, I have an issue with it. Please don't waste your time. Hopefully she will be fired and cease to make documentaries in the future.This Katie Couric nonsense is horrible, just horrible.

Couric is another pathetic example of the Dan Rather School of Journalism.Legislation cannot control the actions of either the mentally unbalanced and those evil souls bent on destruction.If the producers were truly concerned about the safety of children in our society they should focus on the thousands of children killed each year by pediatric malpractice. Another area needing concern is the sexual abuse rampant within the public school system. The Los Angeles school district has recently paid out more the 300 million dollars in settlements.

Almost pure chicanery from start to finish. Katie Couric and crew do their best to further Bloomberg's anti-liberty agenda. Half truths, deliberate omissions, and shady editing are the hallmark of this "Documentary" The most glaring example of shady editing is found during the dialog and footage with the members of the Virginia Citizens Defense League. The cutting room floor must be littered with knowledge that the people behind this film desperately does not want their base to know about. If you are wanting to watch a hundred and ten minute assault on liberty and the Bill of Rights you need not look any longer because you found it. I recommend reading the Federalist Paper number forty six before you watch this to give you something else to consider.
