Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay
It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
View MoreVery interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.
View MoreIt is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.
View MoreI wasn't very impressed with the plot about a distracted jockey who tries to have his race horse win the races. It was more interesting to learn about Magda (played terrifically by Märta Ferm), her problems at school and how she gets a new friend, Helena the bingo caller. It is a bit surprising to see Daniel Gustavsson as a 30-something single father and I'm not quite sure that he comes off really well. Didn't he play teenage sons only a couple of years ago? The film's star is instead Frida Hallgren who seem to appear in film after film with increasing ability, although she doesn't cry or have a fit in this particular movie. Maybe it was wise that the plot didn't get into deep about a possible romance between Fredrik and Helena and the subplot about Helena's vegetarian dog sitter could have been scrapped altogether.
View MoreI'm sorry to admit that one of my Swedish favorite directors, Kjell Sundvall, has now released his worst and dumbest work ever made. This film gives you nothing and absolutely nothing. It's not funny nor entertaining. It gives you no thrills, no engagement or excitement. Not at all. You can't avoid thinking about your duties tomorrow, and the next week, while watching this crap. My advise to Kjell Sundvall is to look at his colleague Kay Pollack, who took time out for more than one decade, and do the same thing. Gather your inspiration and power to come back with a masterpiece. You can do it Kjell! While you wait - watch "Jägarna" (The Hunters) once again. That is Kjell at his best! Thank you!
