Kindhearted Griffin Keyes is one of the best-loved caretakers at the Franklin Park Zoo, but he's more comfortable with the animals than with females of his own species as proven by his failed marriage proposal to the self-absorbed Stephanie several years ago. The animals have listened to Griffin pine over her for years and, after she reappears in his life, they decide to help Griffin rekindle the relationship and become the alpha male she wants him to be. They inadvertently reveal their secret ability to talk and, after Griffin's initial shock, teach him the rules of courtship, animal-style. Surprisingly, the animals' advice really works and Griffin is about to get everything he's ever dreamed of--or is he?

Lack of good storyline.

Rio Hayward

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

Delight

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

A group of zoo animals decide to break their code of silence in order to help their lovable zoo keeper find love -- without opting to leave his current job for something more illustrious. To be honest i've always enjoyed Kevin James movies and this one is no exception, there's enough laughs and some great mix of adventure and drama within this film and having some well known actors like Stallone and Nolte voicing some of the animals makes the movie even better. It's not a film for everyone but some viewers will like it. (8.5/10)

I watched this movie with my family, it isn't easy to find a good one, where everyone is pleased of what we are watching...This was fun, entertaining and the good one!Totally underrated, it Really deserve much more and i seriously don't understand what people was expecting more about it. So many people unable to have a laugh, refusing to have fun because it wasn't extremely new content.... i quote another review i found, suitable to this weighted average vote... " I can understand if people can't stand Kevin James's frenetic humor IF YOU WATCHED IT, but over 400 votes of "1 star" a week before the movie is even released shows some shameful attitudes among IMDb voters. Purposeful down-voting is never justified, and is especially a disservice to Zookeeper, which actually turned out to be a pleasant surprise."haters gonna hate!

Plot Summary: Zoo Animals break their silence to help their Zookeeper (Kevin James) find true love (Rosario Dawson) so he doesn't decide to leave his current job for something more agreeable. Can they do it? will anybody care?! Not me, that's for sure.Kevin James is just as bad as Adam Sandler these days in my opinion. I got so annoyed by this movie that I turned it off at about 50 minutes in. Zookeeper is about as lazy it gets. OK. Paul Blart: Mall Cop wasn't all that bad, but it was still lazy to the extreme. The fact that families pay their hard earned money to go see this stuff at theaters makes me sick. I always say to each their own, but you and your kids deserve much, much better.Final Thoughts: This is a terrible review and I realize that. I didn't see the whole thing because I am not going to resort to torturing myself. It doesn't help that I can't stand Kevin James.DUD

Zookeeper Griffin Keyes (Kevin James) proposes to his girlfriend Stephanie (Leslie Bibb) but she rejects him. Later he considers quitting to get back with her. The animals decide to help him so that he doesn't have to quit. Kate (Rosario Dawson) is his friend and a vet.Kevin James is too broad. Rosario Dawson is too hot. Leslie Bibb is too bitchy. Joe Rogan is too angry. The story is too unfunny. There is no chemistry between anybody. Rosario can't get the guy? Yeh right. In what universe? The main idea is too stupid. The writing is really terrible. There is too much to not like about the story and Kevin James is too pathetic. After a while, it all becomes unwatchable. I like most of the main actors in other things. I'm sure they will all have better success somewhere else. Good luck to one and all on your future endeavors.
