SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?

    Highly Overrated But Still Good

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

"Alice, I Think" is a great show!!! Finally there's a show out there in the TV universe that is funny and that can be seen by people of all ages: it's not "too stupid" for adults to watch it and not "too dirty" for kids (ok, there's a few references to sex, but nothing that should keep a child away). In fact, different ages can have a laugh for different reasons: from the funny faces to the witty comments, to the not-at-all-witty ones. And with actors of all ages, there's something for everyone. And I love the fact that it's 100% Canadian... a good change from all the shows shot in Canada that change the names of cities so that it "seems" everything takes place in America... hey, Yankees aren't the only ones who can make good TV! I wish I could go to see the real Smithers, one day! I really REALLY hope it goes on for many years, and can't wait for the DVDs to come out.

I've just started watching Alice I think with my family and we always get a good laugh out of the show! The writing is clever and witty and the characters do a great job performing this kind of satirical humor. I especially like Alice & the dad John and their quirky, awkward relationship. One of the episodes that sticks out in my mind is when John (Dan Payne) is asked to model for the local sport store...it is hilarious! It completely goes to his head and as he struts his stuff around the small town of Smithers thinking every woman MUST be in love with him, his family just shakes their heads! This is an original kind of TV comedy and we never miss it - we are looking forward to several more seasons of our new favorite comedy!

I recently tuned in to Alice last Friday night and I was laughing from beginning to end. It was great to see a comedy based in Canada and starring a Canadian cast. It pleases me to see a venue to showcase many of Vancouvers wonderful actors that have so much to offer on ever level. I thought the writing was amazing and the acting was totally enjoyable. Dan Payne stuck out to me as a comic savant. His subtle humor and lovable performance will shoot him straight to the height of which ever show he will grace next. There is something for all ages in Alice I think, from the pains of growing up as a disjointed teen, to the difficulties of parenting. I strongly recommend you tuning in.

This show is like a live action 'Family Guy'! The Dad character is hilarious! I hope there are more and I hope the US gets it so all my friends can understand what I keep telling them about the show! The best part is there is something for everyone. I thought it might be for teens more but the Dad guy and his friends are great for adults! Finally a quality Canadian program! I hope there is more to come! It started on the comedy network channel but now it is also on CTV Which I didn't know until my friend pointed it out! Check it out Sundays CTV @7pm Canada brings the comedy! The story lines are based on books by Susna Juby whose writings are internationally renowned. It is really cool to see characters come to life from books. I only read the books because my daughter read them and I heard her giggling and thought I better screen her literary choices. Glad I did! I am not sure where the show is going to go from here but I hope it keeps going. It, like Corner Gas, is helping strengthen the Canadian world of TV respect. If anyone knows more about Dan Payne (the Dad) and Connor Price (the son) please let me know? Just wondering if I have seen them before!
