One of the best films i have seen

    Absolutely Fantastic

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

BTR tried to use the same formula as Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, but it did not work out very well. I can't help but notice that the silly sound effects, and the characters' overall goofiness (and screaming) tries to make up for the pointless stories---which is normally about the boys fighting over girls, being disrespectful and just being plain stupid most of the time. The acting and comedy on BTR is forced to the point that I don't even laugh at it. Also, the show to me was just a gimmick to advertise their music, which I wasn't a fan of.Forced acting, boring stories, over kill on silly sound effects and slap-stick comedy...does not work.If you want to watch a show that was successful with the silly teen comedy formula, Watch Ned's Declassified instead. Unlike BTR, most of its viewers can relate to the tips that Ned gives (although most of the tips are exaggerated).

I found this show because I was in between jobs and finally had time to watch TV. It reminded me at first of the Monkees, but has surpassed it in every way. ALL of the boys are incredibly talented and their true life friendships shine through and make their characters believable. While the situations are definitely all parody, the boys all sing beautifully as well as write many of their own songs. They have become huge, not just with teen girls, but people of all ages. Their kindness and willingness to put their fans first makes them not only top on my list of new talent (I would definitely go see them in concert if they came here) but on the top of an excellent example of young humanitarians. At their concerts they pay special attention to special needs children and their motto is that ALL people are beautiful. THAT is something I want my children to learn. These boys are wonderful role models and even though I am older than the average viewer, never miss an episode.

OMG, I cannot even express how embarrassing this show is. Stupid, mortifying characters and scripting. I guess it is supposed to address teens around 10 to 14 (or 16 considering it is a boy band) -- but how can anyone that age enjoy this nonsense? Or anyone any age. A boy band of age what, 18, 21 in average (?) acting like five year olds !? made me to watch :-) ) Evey nanosecond spend on this makes me suffer from. I guess marketing, making money, promoting the band and all that is far more important nowadays than producing good shows. Why does Nicelodeon not try something deeper? Children CAN and DO enjoy that, there is no need for reducing shows to shallow ones. Josh and Drake had some really god stories. That should be the direction...

My first exposure to this show was my young nephew watching it while I was visiting him in the hospital. When it came on, I immediately thought it was going to be lame and terrible. Surprisingly, it wasn't.I made a point to DVR an episode at home to check it out some more, and I've got to say I actually laughed out loud a couple times. The people behind this show are obviously real pros with a pretty deft touch for making good choices, from the production to the supporting cast to the savvy selection of the leads. I also appreciate that it seems to be a show that's safe for kids.Picking on boy bands is easy to do, especially if you're trying to show other people how cool you are. It's the kind of thing you don't need to do if you're secure in your own skin and not trying to prove anything to anyone. I'm perfectly willing to give credit where it's due, and BTR is alright in my book.Edited on 8/23/12 to add: If you're writing a review and you're going to call someone or something "stupid," you might want to make sure your writing is higher than a kindergarten level. I'm disappointed to learn that English is no longer taught in the UK.
