Joel, his cynical best friend, Nick, and easy-going little brother, Jamie, are contemporary cavemen who live in the suburban south and simply want to be treated like ordinary thirty-something guys. Despite their attempts at assimilation, Nick doesn't believe mainstream society will ever completely accept them, Jamie seems to take it all in stride and Joel straddles the middle, torn between his friends, his more traditional values and his loving fiancée.

Cavemen Audience Reviews

Marketic It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
Hadrina The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
IngleMike This show wasn't bad much the same way vanilla isn't bad. This was a generic sitcom that depended on the leads being cavemen, but really didn't exploit that angle. The writers played it very safe here. I guess I was expecting a fish out of water type comedy with these guys trying to adapt to the modern world. Instead it was just some 20-somethings with lots of hair. I didn't watch most of the episodes but I don't think there was a back story for these guys. The reason I'm disappointed is that they really could done something interesting here and instead we got the most bland writing possible, not bad just boring. Look to Phil Hartman for inspiration.
Alex Last month, A co-worker of mine was watching this show on his computer during a lunch break. I remember hearing that it was one of the worst shows ever. However, it started becoming a daily thing during our lunch hour to watch an episode of "Cavemen". I found it to be quite humorous. It's seems as if you need to be halfway intelligent to understand the whole meaning of it, which is most likely why ABC had to can it. The characters are all very likable, and the storyline is pretty funny. You see, the average U.S citizen found the commercials commercials to be funny because they were short, and easy to understand. But when screen writers got together and created a show, it had to be more complex, and vivid. This show was simply never given a fair chance.
Robert Doolitle This was definitely a funny show. Watch this if you can. Not as funny as the commercials, but funny none-the-less.I do wish they had the guys from the commercials in this, as they would definitely make the show more interesting, but this is still an entertaining comedy with a touch of social commentary. If you like shows like Two-and-a-half men then this should also interest you. Oh, and not a single mention of Geico in the episode I watched. I was worried this would be one big product placement ad. The guys playing the Wii was one of the funniest scenes. But their indignation that one of their own was going out with a 'Sapien' was equally as funny.
eshrdlu-1 This show MUST be given a chance. The writers have hit on the real world. This is not a trite reworking of any past show that I can recall, but I've not seen anything like it before. When I hear the Cavemen and their intelligent dialog, see them interacting with one another, insulting each other or making fun of each other, then go out into the real world to go to school or be heartbroken by a girlfriend, or go to work at an Ikea-like store, then I see the brows and three-inch puffs of hair dangling from their forearms, I LAUGH hard! Maurice is the recurring character to watch for, much more of the GEICO slant. He's the best one so far.
