    Just perfect...

    Taraparain

Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Excellent storyline that must be continued as it's keeping all of us in suspense. Titus Welliver, Sonny Marinelli and Jason Gedrick play complex characters and they do it very well. In only a few shows, they've drawn us into their lives and made us care and feel compelled to watch. Never have we made a point of watching repeats before this second airing of the FALCONE series. If it was opposite Who Wants to be a Millionaire (and we love that show) - FALCONE would win! We hope that CBS won't let the audience down and will incorporate FALCONE as part of it's regular programming.

I have seen the Sopranos and other mob-esque shows, but this show is first-class. The show is based on facts and uses emotionally charged characters, interesting plot, fluid dialog, and outstanding cinematography. I hope that it will be turned into a series. For those of you that didn't see it, you missed out.

Falcone is funny, ( these guys kidnap an $18,500 dog and get stuck with it ), and interesting. But as much as I enjoy watching it, it just just doesn't measure up the late 80's early 90's tv series Wiseguy. Is it coincidence that that bad guy Falcone works for is named Sonny? The main problem here is that the writer's miss every chance for sustaining suspense. The show builds to tense moments then lets them go so quickly we feel cheated. And yet opportunities for suspense abound. Falcone's wife's Maggie--perhaps the best actor in this series--adds a lot of potential for threat. But the writer's seem to back off. Ever hear of drama guys? (When you get the good guy in a bad situation you figure out how to make it worse.) The FBI staff behind Falcone is a joke. In Wiseguy the staff's ruthlessness caused problems. In this show the only FBI guy who causes problems is a complete idiot. The rest of them act as if they are on Eight is Enough. Falcone is worth watching. But if you really want to see how a mob infiltration show should be done, watch reruns of Wiseguy.

I love this series. It's like The Sopranos but given more of a street feeling, rather than a urban. They couldn't have picked a better person than Jason Gedrick to play Joe Falcone. All the actors do such a good job of pulling you into the plot. I can't wait until each night when they show the next episode. The plot is very convincing and after each episode they leave you on the edge of your seat wanting to see what will happen next. Altogether, this series is a smart look into what a mafia captain, Sonny Boy, will do to get on top, and what a FBI agent, Joe Pistone, will do to protect his family while still risking his life to do his job.
