Sadly Over-hyped
Let's be realistic.
Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
View Moreit is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.
View MoreThe attempts by MTV to make American versions of Channel 4's 'Skins' and 'The Inbetweeners' have been universally despised by fans of the originals, and it seems that Channel 4 has finally gotten its revenge on America with its new show 'Full English', which is basically a British version of Family Guy but with everything that made Family Guy good taken out. It was probably the most painful experience I have ever had watching a TV show. Everything was wrong; the timing, the animation, the voice acting and, most of all, the "humour". Like Family Guy, the show derives virtually none of its humour from the plot and instead relies on cutaways and pop culture related jokes but, unlike Family Guy, its cutaways and TV/celebrity spoofs aren't funny. It fails to live up to the standards of any of the main American animated sitcoms; it lacks not only the laugh out loud humour of Family Guy, but also the biting satire of South Park, the wit of Futurama and the heart and warmth of The Simpsons. The fact that this pile of crap actually made me appreciate the tenth season of Family Guy should be an indicator of the quality of the show. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS! If you want a new animated sitcom that's good watch Adult Swim's 'The Boondocks', a sharp and funny social satire of race relations in America which hasn't aired in the UK yet, so you can pretend it's new.
View MoreFull EnglishI think it is really funny, its worth at least a 6 in my opinion and definitely worth watching if your into adult cartoons such as family guy or south park. It also reminded me of the old classic, "spitting image" in a way because of the real life character's that appear in it (that aren't actually supposed to be depicting real life character's) but are ! and they are portrayed very well too!basically I would compare it to family guy but for me not quite as good, as daft or as funny, although it can be a kind of ruder humor which is always a bonus!verdict almost as funny as Family Guy. lowest I can give it is a 6/10
View MoreFirst impressions are that it is clichéd and derivative. Being self-admittedly ''rude, puerile and silly'' sounds more like an excuse for bad writing and a lack of any actual humour. The characters are either lazy copies or one dimensional, with at least one who could become quite annoying very quickly. It tries to emulate the styles of Family Guy et al and fails miserably with unoriginality and little sense. It might be worth watching to see how badly it continues to be written for those interested in comedy writing, as its flaws are legion. But how this got past anyone to be commissioned is truly worrying.
View MoreThere is quite a lot of hate for this cartoon after 1 episode, which i find hard to believe as the show has only aired one episode so far and is only in its infancy. I must state i am a huge family guy and American dad fan, so naturally was excited by this programme although not as good as the previously mentioned shows it has very good moments and it shows a lot of potential and i don't think it should be badly reviewed after 1 episode, i'm going to give it at least 3 episodes before committing to my early opinion of the show. I must say there where numerous moments in the show which made me laugh. the pushing the boundaries element to the show which i loved (family guy does it well) and would like to see more u.k shows attempt it (of course i'm talking about the queen scenes) i hope this show lasts and people give it a chance i don't like the way some shows are cancelled before they're given the chance they deserve. a few more episodes will show weather this is a fail or a success.
