View MoreThe film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

View MoreThis Emmy nominated series is a breath of fresh air for the DC Universe. The acting is first rate and the writing is terrific. The quality of the show increases each season. Gotham is its own show and is not part of a shared universe like the Arrowverse. Gotham fully honors the Batman Mythos and incorporated numerous comic book accurate characters (such as; Solomon Grundy, The Penguin, The Riddler, Catwoman, Tigress, etc.) in the show.It provides an insight on how Bruce Wayne became the man we all know today. In season 1 we saw him trying to mourn his parents deaths. In addition, he learned more about Wayne Enterprises and his father's past. As a season 1 cliffhanger we got a brief glimpse of the Bat cave. In season 2 Bruce Wayne tried to find the person who killed his parents. We eventually found out in season 3 that Hugo Strange specifically the Court of Owls ordered a lowlife to kill Thomas and Martha Wayne. As a season 2 cliffhanger we got a brief glimpse of Bruce Wayne's doppelgänger. He was created by Hugo Strange in Indian Hill. In season 3 Bruce Wayne found his doppelgänger and this stirred up some problems. Later in the season it was revealed that his doppelgänger worked for the Court of Owls (A clandestine organization who had Thomas and Martha Wayne killed). In this season Bruce uncovered secrets about the Court of Owls. He found out that the Court controls the entirety of Gotham and Wayne Enterprises. At the end of the season it was revealed that Ras al Ghul is the actual leader of the Court of Owls. As a season 3 cliffhanger we got a brief glimpse of Bruce Wayne as a vigilante. In season 4 Bruce Wayne faced Ras al Ghul and killed him. That act lead him down a dark path. He quit being a vigilante and started to be a douche bag to everyone including Alfred. Playboy Bruce Wayne was born in season 4. Bruce Wayne plays a pivotal role in the show, but does not receive as much screen time as Jim Gordon. The show focuses more on Jim Gordon's story and how he became the person from the comics. To conclude, Gotham is a violent, dark and gritty show with an amazing cast. I recommend it to everyone who is interested in Jim Gordon's past and who fell in love with the Batman comics as a kid/young adult/adult. Hopefully the fifth and final :( season does not disappoint.
View MoreThe villains absolutely steal the show, the penguin and Ed Nigma should be winning awards as even though the other cast so a great job, like the criminals they portray they steal every scene they are in. Disappointed that it finishes next season but hopefully the final season will be even better.
View MoreSeason 1 was a solid 9 with strong characters and storylines that did not in any way go against what is to be expected from fans.Season 2 grew what season 1 started with expanding with new characters but started to pit Gordon against Batman villians but not in a way that made them seem like they themselves could not grow to require a Batman to stop them. Again a solid 9.Season 3 started to take odd turns, connecting female characters in a "we need to stick together because patriarchy and how much men suck" and marred an otherwise excellent season with even more new characters that fit the Batman EU.This new season however took what was an otherwise excellent season and went full tilt WTF by making the League of Assassins look like a bunch of wussies, all of the men killed by a few female characters because all men are weak and it was time for a female lead, one that a male assassin said could never lead...a story that was so pointless and just plain horrible seeing as how the league is led by a woman longer in the Batman timeline than a man...all meshed in several other smaller stories of female victimization nonsense that dragged the overall storyline into the dirt.Sad, Season 4 gets a 6, barely and im near the point of no longer watching the show which will leave only Black Lightning and The Flash that I have not given up on due to the horrible push of SJW nonsense into the DC shows.EDITED to add new info having seen the last 4 episodes of Season 4. What was a great ending to the season was once again marred by the plague of social justice attitudes ruining the DC universe of shows with a resounding "Everything is the fault of men, time for a man free zone" proclamation by a now all female gang that is clearly set to target men and all while taking the name of a group that actually exists in the Batman series, The Sirens! This horrible change in story has made this the final episode I will watch of this series. Only The Flash and Black Lightning have so far manage to escape the touch of real world social politics which has no place at all in movies and tv shows that are meant to transport us into another world/existence.What a horrible waste of a good show. Lowering my rating for Season 4 from a 6 to a 3 for breaking immersion and making such a massive change to the Batman world.
View MoreThe show started as a dark and serious crime solving mystery drama and it was reduced into a repetitive and meaningless comic - and sometimes disgusting - mess. I'd give 6-7 stars to season 1.Batman is my fav superhero but I never expected him to be in the series. Sadly the writers didnt do any research (like reading "Becoming Batman" by E. Paul Zehr). Bruce is 17-18 in season 4 and he hasnt done almost no training at all. And yet he can beat much older gun-carrying men. What's worse, is that Bruce doesnt come up with the idea of becoming Batman... Ra's al Ghul and Joker force him to be because of a prophecy/vision! Furthermore, Al'Ghul wants Bruce to be his heir, way before Bruce is Batman, which messes up everything we know about Batman and Ra's.I dont mind a show taking liberties and this show does that a lot, with new villains and characters. But it's obvious that this show has no direction. Joker, Grundy and Ivy had 3 transformations each! Riddler has split personality (which is something Two-Face should have). Joker, Mad Hatter, and Scarecrow got their powers from their brother, sister and father respectively. Pyg was downright gross. Lee is a doctor who never kills anyone but she finally stabs someone because "plot". And there is a Bruce clone on the loose, which like many other villains, he disappears for when the story has a need for him. Also yeah, Bruce kills someone in the series, which is totally against what Batman stands for.In season 3, the Court of Owls wanted to destroy Gotham to clean it from corruption. But that doesnt make sense.. just clean Gotham from crime! Instead, they wanted to drive everyone mad so that people kill each other. That's just crazy! In season 4, Al'Ghul also wanted to destroy Gotham to create the Dark Knight. Not only this ruins Batman as a self-made character but... they dont actually destroy Gotham. They only destroy the bridges, which is access to Gotham! I wanted to cry from anger after watching that! The series can't even deliver what it promises! Not only got the Lazarus Pit to bring back anyone dead, but Hugo Strange and the city sewers can also do that. With 3 super Ex-Machinas there are no stakes in this game. Everyone allies with everyone at any given moment. Everything is up on the air for the shake of cheap plot-twists. It's a mess. The new Joker doesn't even laugh! I really dont care about any of the characters anymore. The show is almost as bad as Batman Ninja at this point. Also, in 4 seasons at least 200 cops must have died in GCPD.The show suffers from the same things Smallville suffered (I couldnt believe that Clark met Lois before they both worked in Daily Planet!). But Smallville lasted for 10 glorious seasons. So what do I know? Not that it's this shows fault, but the Ra's arc and the demise of Gotham was also shown in Batman Begins and Arrow. So they could have avoided it completely. All that said, I hope they got the guts to do the Batman Cataclysm arc in season 5. Nygma, Penguin and Fish were my fav characters.
