The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

ReBoot set the bar for cg-animated tv for generations to come, and it's been widely regarded as a classic cultural milestone from the 90s, just like Pokemon or Spongebob went on to be comparable phenomena in the decade. Also, it's Canada's BEST cartoon ever! It's eons ahead of the other animated stuff the country's produced over the last decade, and ReBoot is still great entertainment for kids and adults today. Compare it to something like Total Drama Island: there's no comparison as to which one is better.ReBoot is great 90s entertainment and came at a time when computers were truly on the rise in the entertainment industry. It's maintained a cult following since its debut in 1994, it's still good even after all the shows which came after it, and I still reckon it's a good childhood memory.

I say it's one of the best of the 90's instead of of all time. That's because I'm trying not to be biased. But as I'm trying to put my love of this show into words I don't think I'll be able to do that. Quite simply this has to be one of the smartest cartoons I've ever seen. Mainframe, Megabyte, Hack n Slash, 1's and 0's, User uploading games. Everything I knew about computers as a child came from this show. Okay well maybe not everything. The show had no fear of drastically changing it's characters. I remember feeling Dot's pain when Enzo lost in a game. And the awesomeness of seeing Matrix for the first time. It's a real shame that it never got a proper ending. I'll wonder what happened after the cliffhanger ending for the rest of my life.

Reeboot was the first computer animated TV show I saw. I was blown away by the 3D images not only this but also by the story lines. They were quite mature dealing with issues of death (Bob) and sexuality such as Enzos and Andreas relationship. Also there were some quite sexy female characters in the programme. I also loved the parody episodes they wrote the Evil dead one was pure class, as was the one with road runner and not forgetting the Prisoner episode. When this show came on to British television I was 20 years old this shows the maturity of some of the episodes. Although I am still not sure how they got away with some of the more scary characters such as Hexidecimal ( I think this was her name it was was the lead bad guys sister) she was terrifying and psychotic. I am still not sure what exactly what happened to Bob though did they ever find him and find there way home??? I think this will become a cult classic and hopefully there will be a reboot movie in the near future.

REBOOT was a great example of that rare thing... an intelligent kid's show. Actually it was sufficiently multileveled (and with enough double-entries) to be enjoyed by adults as well. Some of the early episodes were a bit ropey, but especially from the second season on when they started using clever plot arcs and having more mature plot lines instead of the typical bang-bang-hero-saves-the-day stories, it became unmissable viewing. It didn't avoid not hitting the reset switch at the end of every episode - in only some modern "grown-up" series, such as the various Star Trek incarnations, would avoid a similar temptation.
