This series rocks. Yes, Lindsay Wagner is the one & only true Jamie Sommers, and yes, nothing will ever compare to the original 70s show. But I say again: this series rocks. As with many remakes, don't compare it to the original, and you'll probably have a good time. The new Bionic Woman is dark, stylish and tense, and we can immediately see thematic similarities with the new Battlestar Galactica (from the same executive producer and also co-starring the talented Katee Sackhoff). So if you're a new BSG fan, don't hesitate to dive into this series.Like BSG, we're never quite sure who's the good guy & who's the bad guy. Or are we all bad guys acting out our own subjective moralities? For example my favourite character on the show (the Katee Sackhoff character) is presented as a psychotic murdering monster, but as the show unfolds we start to see her as the potential protagonist. Often she makes more sense than all the good guys put together. I'm sure it's the intent of this series to challenge us with thoughts like that. Similarly, we never get a clear idea of whom Jamie is working for. They seem like they're trying to do good things, but heck, the same can be said about the politicians of the world. And we see how well that goes... In a very oblique way, this series makes some profound commentaries about that & again challenges us to decide what is right & wrong. If you're in it for just the action, there's plenty of it. There are some great fight scenes and a fair amount of stuff blowing up & people getting killed; this series is definitely fast-paced. Also there are some nice sprinklings of humour, telling me that the show doesn't take itself too seriously. Another plus.I've only watched the first 8 episodes, but I can tell you I'm hooked. The pilot episode is pretty straightforward & sets up the story, but I think the series really kicks into overdrive when we start to learn more about Katee's character and the complexities of that subplot. Whether you're a fan of the original show or not, if you approach this series on its own, I think you'll really like it.

I actually was quite enjoying the series, it had a few faults to be sure, but was really starting to get into it when the writer's strike led to it's disappearance from the screen. There were a lot of unexplored plot lines set up for later in the series, hacker sister, sinister father/son bionic doctor thing of her late boyfriend etc. which may have added much more depth to the plot if the series had continued. However having said that, to all those who didn't see it, don't bother. The writer's strike led to an abrupt end mid-series where nothing in the slightest was resolved, even worse than the badly cobbled together finale of Heroes season 2, so there's really no point wasting your time.

This show is everything that a good TV show should be!!!! The acting was good, the plot was amazing and it took time for those moment when you just felt good watching it.The shows plot was always twisting and turning and the character as so down to earth and you could relate. Her sister was a great actor and brought a lot to the show. It as an instant classic due to its ability to pack so much action, drama and comedy into a short episode every week. The canceling does not reflect on its quality whatsoever. I am a proud bionic woman fan and I feel they did an incredible job with this remake of a classic.I recommend this show to everyone. It is a great showOverall this show should never have been canceled and will continue to be a favorite of mine for a long time.

Michelle Ryan is gorgeous and adds to Jamie's character the "human touch", still learning and making mistakes. The low key technology stuff just adds to the main objective of the show being a thriller first rather than an all-singing, all dancing extravaganza of computer generated effects.I have just seen a few episodes, but already I can sense the evolution of the characters. It is a shame if the series is cancelled after the first episode, because it has great potential.Michelle has come a long way from "Eastie". Brits playing iconic figures like Jamie Summers, and Sarah Connor, we (the Brits) should commend their achievements.
