Very Cool!!!

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

I really wanted this show to work. I loved the Stargate SG1 and Atlantis series and seeing the cast members perhaps I set my expectations too high.In my opinion this show is just to indulge Amanda Tappings ego that she could run around being the hero and put on an English accent (and a dreadful one at that) if you haven't heard it imagine American Amateur Dramatics putting on a Mary Poppins show. The story lines manage to somehow marry both the dull and incredulous which I guess is some sort of achievement SPOILER,,,,*****(just see the Jack the Ripper/I am your father scene for example)****SPOILER and the CGI are rushed and not very well done. Harry Potter this is not.In short, if you're under 12 and or think Buffy is the height of creative writing maybe give it a go. If you really enjoy sci-fi and plot driven adventure avoid at all costs. Badly written, badly acted ego trip.

The 7 things I liked about you. (Sanctuary)1 - The show was brilliant. 2 - good show arch's and story lines. 3 - so many good gust stars. 4 - considering the style of filming. the graphics and CGI where pretty good. very different. 5 - it starts out like a single thing than slowly opened up to a world wide organization. without losing its original momentum. 6 - the whole hollow earth arch. 7 - GRATE why to rewrite history to introduce all the historical figures. and the 7 things I didn't like about you. 1 - the fact that it ended when it did. huge final ep. could have opened so much for the show. even spin offs. 2 - that dam catchy intro. from season 2. it sticks in your head. 3 - the change from web series pilot to TV show pilot. this should have been an extra on the DVD 4 - not enough background on the bigfoot guy. a little hint here and there but no solid info. he was one of the mains. 5 - the daughters death. WHY. 6 - the intro of Kate Freelander. don't get me wrong the character was good. just how she became a main didn't work for me. 7 - the way the show ended. so so so so much more could have been dun.

Sanctuary will please and entertain every sci-fi fan that is not interested only in space based stories.Interesting and fan to watch characters with great chemistry between them, developing as the series progresses. Mrs Tapping gracefully leads the way with a character that is no way near SG1's Sam Carter... after the initial startle of seeing her with long dark hair, civilian clothing and a British accent, you definitely can't help but let yourself be carried away into her adventures. Decent -sometimes very well- writing, acting and directing, very good music score, but the big breakthrough came with the use of green screen for almost 90% of the scenery and close courters shooting of the show. Sanctuary essentially broke the limits of the creative process as far as landscaping is concerned.4 seasons really not enough. Hope it will come back for more!

I'm what you generally call an all eater of sci-fi, fantasy and folk-lore genres. I have very low standards and enjoy most stuff in these genres. Even the badly produced ones for a little laugh Here is the exception, Sanctuary. I tried watching this show like 6-7 times, but i just can't stand it.If i were to label the writing skills of the show based on no background knowledge about the series, then i would guess a 12-year old Buffy fan wrote it after consuming one to many boring pills.The character are totally bland, and to be honest, very annoying. Helen Magnus can bend down and karate chop leg sweeps on beasts when walking in heels while whiplashing gunshots with one hand.Whoever write this, really dude/dudette? Really? Her daughter. You can't fight monsters and making moves like you are 9 year old kid who just saw his/her first Bruce Lee Movie and trying to copy it in your room. This character needs to die sooner or later.I can go on and on... You get my drift. The only thing i need to say is that it doesn't matter how much you love this genre, this is really really bad... Avoid at all costs.
