Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.
View MoreIt's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
View MoreThis movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
View MoreEasily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
View MoreVictor Spinetti just died, so I wanted to review one of his credits. "SuperTed" is fairly interesting, if not great. I saw it on video a few times when I was young. It wasn't even until many years later that I learned that Victor Spinetti provided the voice of villain Texas Pete (by which point I knew Spinetti as the co-star from the Beatles' movies). In fact, providing the voice of Bulk was Spinetti's "Help!" co-star Roy Kinnear (also memorable as Mr. Salt in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory"). Reading about the show, I was surprised to learn that it comes from Wales; I've always thought that we don't hear enough about that country.Anyway, it's an OK show. Nothing particularly special, but pretty entertaining.Bones!
View MoreDuring my childhood I watched a lot of cartoons, and at 18 I was thinking the other day of cartoons I watched but I had forgotten about. SuperTed was one of them. A wonderful show, that should've lasted longer. Beautiful animation, great music, wonderful plot-lines, intelligent writing and lovable characters including SuperTed, Spotty and Skeleton are only a few things to like about the show. What made the characters lovable were that they had unique and distinct personalities and that they were very well-voiced by the likes of Jon Pertwee. I also loved the concept of SuperTed, and the well- thought out plot-lines which did really well staying consistent ensured the show stayed true to the concept. Maybe it is just me, but SuperTed has to be one of the most underrated shows out there, it was wonderful and I feel utterly ashamed for having forgotten it. 10/10 Bethany Cox
View MoreWhen I was small, I watched a single episode of this on a video and fell in love with it. Years later, when videos had been replaced by CDs, I forgot about it until recently. However, it has gone away quietly and no one even talks about it anymore. Why waste such a perfectly good cartoon? It had wonderful (though sometimes not logical) plots and good voice acting. The character of a teddy bear could appeal to all age groups. I personally feel that they should bring him back to the land of the living and not let him be forgotten. Some cartoons are forgotten, others are brought back again by those who created them. This is one cartoon that should be aired on TV again.
View MoreWhen I was a kid the norwegian broadcasting channel used to show this series in the weekends, and I remember a few episodes very vividly. The intro to every episode shows a teddybear being malmanufatured, and thrown down into a cold and dark store room. Then there comes an alien with spots and they go to a magic cloud where he is given fantastic powers and he becomes SUPERTED. The whole series is about Superted and his alien friend trying to fight evil, most often in the form of the criminal trio Tex, Bolla (in english perhaps bigboy) and Beinet (he is a skeleton). These are smalltimers who dont succeed, Tex is the leader, but Superted always overcomes his scrupulous plans. All in all I remember it as a good series for kids.
