Look who’s making the news again! One of NY’s most beloved news anchors, Mike Henry (Michael J. Fox), put his career on hold to spend more time with his family and focus on his health after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. But now five years later, with the kids busy growing up and Mike growing restless, it just might be time for him to get back to work. Having never wanted Mike to leave in the first place, his old boss Harris Green jumped at the chance to get him back on TV. The trick, as it’s always been, was to make Mike think it was his idea. After several – okay, many - failed attempts, Mike’s family, anxious to see him out of the house, finally succeeded in getting him to “run into” Green. Now their plan is in motion. He’ll be back to juggling home, family, and career, just like the old days – only better.

The Michael J. Fox Show Audience Reviews

Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Alistair Olson After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Taylor Kingston I honestly couldn't believe that this show got cancelled. Well, I can, because it did, and nearly every new show that I love gets cancelled after it's first or second season. But I really thought that with the presence of Michael J. Fox, that the show would continue for at least two seasons. But alas, no. I thought this show was very funny, and Michael J. Fox really did a great job. This show is about Michael, played by Michael J. Fox, duh, he is a newscaster. Throughout the show he and his family go through all sorts of adventures.Overall, I give this TV show a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.
mpm_27 I am a huge fan of Michael J. Fox. I've read his books and applaud his optimistic attitude. His work on the show is entertaining. I like the actor who plays Mike's boss and the dynamic between Fox and his boss. However, I'm disappointed by the sitcom. The supporting characters are poor actors - disappointing and dull. I do not find the actresses who plays his wife or sister remotely appealing. The kids are only OK. I honestly hope the writing changes to minimize their roles so that the star, and namesake of the show, can continue to shine.I was highly disappointed by the guest appearance of Anne Heche because I find her, and her poor acting, to be obnoxious. I sincerely hope that hers will not be a reoccurring character.
donpatters I have always been a Michael J. Fox fan - loved him even on The Good Wife - however - this show really sucks. Mike is awful in this role and the other characters are all highly forgettable.... As I tried watching the second show, I found that I had completely dismissed whatever happened on the first show. And I don't even see an attempt at any real continuity on the part of the script context. Am I missing something? If I am missing something, it is no great loss because I definitely do not plan on continuing to watch the show. Sean Saves the World is also mediocre, but not as completely boring as Mike's show. Too bad, a better script for Mike and better supporting characters might have done something for NBC - but it's not happening !!
SanteeFats I really have liked Michael J. Fox in everything I have seen him in, Spin City, Doc Hollywood, all the Back to the Future movies, etc. In this one though the show just is not very funny to me. I have so much admiration for his return to TV. I am very glad that medical science has come up the better drugs for his disease. Now let's get cancer. I just don't think the writing is very good. The plot is actually good and the casting is decent, although kind of pedestrian. The family interaction is pretty lame and the aunt is just trying to hard to be hip, coll, with it, whatever. It just doesn't come across as a very good show in my opinion. I am very sorry too, as I had such high expectations for this series.
