The Voice UK Audience Reviews

Boobirt Stylish but barely mediocre overall
BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
ChampDavSlim The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.
Paynbob It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Imme-van-Gorp I, personally, like the Voice UK a lot better than all the other Voices. I'm from Holland, which is the country this talent show is originally from, (although I just read a review that made it seem this show was a lame version of the Voice USA, which I thought was very peculiar since it doesn't originate from the USA), but I prefer watching the Voice UK as well, because the coaches are so much more fun to watch than the coaches from other countries.Will.I.Am has been a coach since the very first series and is in my opinion what makes the show this great. Sometimes he doesn't really say a lot, but when he does he's almost always witty, entertaining and funny.Sir Tom Jones, who has been a coach for multiple seasons, makes the show respectable with his flair and wisdom. I think we can all agree that when he was replaced by Boy George, it was a big mistake. Boy George just didn't have that same impact on both the contestants and the coaches as Sir Tom did. He wasn't as much respected and acknowledged. I must say I wasn't sad at all when it was announced that Sir Tom Jones would be back, now that iTV started airing the show instead of the BBC, who fired Sir Tom.There is always one female coach though and that role seems to change a lot. We've had Jessie J, Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue, Paloma Faith and Jennifer Hudson. My favorite female coach was probably Jessie J or Kylie Minogue. The other ones just didn't quite live up to their standerds. In the first two series we had Danny O'Donoghue, who I thought was very entertaining and I was rather sad when he left the show, but when we were introduced to Ricky Wilson in series three, I instantly got over the loss of Danny and fell in love with Ricky's way of coaching and judging, particularly the way he really cares about the contestant. Long story short, I would definitely recommend watching this version of the Voice, even if you're not from the UK. -Imme van Gorp
karl-w First I hope this disgrace of a show does not make you think it is the same for the US version. The first main problem is the judges of the UK voice Will.I.AM is a prob the most charismatic of the four, however the four Judges just don't click compared to the US who now have Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira(new) and Usher(new). You have four Judges on the UK version who pretty much spur each other on to push a button, this majorly pisses me off, Why you don't choose a certain singer because he does not match up with your musical background yet is "talented" is stupid. Tom Jones pretty much says the same thing to every contestant "I want you to join my team", Danny does a cheap knock off of Blakes spurring on the crowd, Jessie J just complains and plays the girl card every time and Will.I.Am says one of his stupid "dope" phrases. The Voice UK is just a cheap knock off of the US Voice.
studioAT For years the BBC have watched as ITV have had hit reality show after reality show and now they've decided to ditch half their comedy programmes in favour of spending loads of money on this reality show. The gamble nearly paid off, the initial auditions did well in the ratings but this was purely based on novelty factor - judges in spinning chairs with their backs to the audience. It was something we hadn't seen before so people watched it.Then they put the contestants in a boxing ring for a 'battle'. This again was something we'd never seen before so the ratings were still good. But then the show just became like every other talent show and after being touted as something 'totally different that would change the music industry' we realised that no, this was just a talent contest like the many others we've seen come and go.Nice gamble by the BBC but the ratings tell the story.
