Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

If you can get past the low budget and occasionally problematic production quality then this ain't bad, not bad at all. In fact the acting is really interesting, almost unusual especially from the younger players. The wit and modern relevance in it reminds me of things like Buffy the Vampire Slayer but there is only one brief occult element here. Dammit, this thing has a personality and charm all of its own ! It made me laugh ... the Musketeers poetry and I thought the performance given by the actor who plays the young King was particularly amusing. Maybe there's more of this out there somewhere ? Why so serious guys ?

Done in a style similar to that of Xena, though it came later. The costumes are award-winning, but the rest of the show is very tongue-in-cheek. There are some inconsistencies and plot holes, but I loved the first 12 (of 13) episodes. For a show that seems so low-budget, I was really impressed with the actors. Most of them were actually very good at their roles, and managed to develop actual characters, even though this can be very difficult with such outrageous lines. It didn't hurt that the musketeer boys were all pretty cute, too ;) I was really sad to see this show cancelled, as were some friends of mine. The final episode was also quite disappointing.

It's very refreshing to see an old story revamped with modern day language that actually works. Not that this story is of the olden day Musketeers, the story follows the lives of D'Artagnans' son who he named D'Artagnan. Of course there is still a sense of the proper way to speak and women were treated like women, but there are a few modernizations in what they talk about. A lot of screenplay writers have tried many-a-time to revive the stories of The Musketeers and in my honest opinion have failed miserably. This series will succeed it's pre-decessus as it it fresh, charming and has a light comedic tone to it. It's nice to see Michael Ironside in yet another grand role and the fresh faces of Zak Santiago, Tobias Mehler, Karen Cliché, Mark Hildreth and another adventurer who I used to love in the show "Bing em Back Alive" (1982-1983) is Bruce Boxleitner. This show is a must see for lovers of The Musketeers.

Young Blades is a really good family show...and I'm not just saying that because it's my favorite...Karen is GREAT in all her shows. Especially this one, Mutant X, and Adventure Inc. The guys are really HOT! Ramon's poetry is really cool too...I look forward to seeing the rest of the series...it's not great but it has some really good pictures on it.I really hope that everyone reading this will continue to watch Young Blades or, if they haven't yet started, try to catch an episode or two as soon as you can!Search for pictures of this show too...thats always fun... Stay cool and keep watching...hopefully D & J will hook up next season!!! We'll keep praying they do, believe me!
