To me, this movie is perfection.

    The greatest movie ever made..!

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

The show is well made, the sets are beautiful but I see that political correctness has had its hand in the production of the show. It goes far from the books plot and the show makes an obvious attempt at placing race mixing on a pedestal even though that is not goal it should aim for. It does not respect the timeline that the show was put in. Having slaves was not appalling in those day and ages as the musketeers themselves had 'indentured servants'. The action is good but because of the aspects described above it only merits a 5/10. If not for political correctness it would have been a 9/10

I watched first season and stopped. The season and the last episode was just so great I don't want it to ruin. The first episode was a good mix of all. The next 2 or 3 episodes felt like filler however they were needed. They introduced the lives of each of the musketeers. It is important background I think. It did take awhile for me to get the names of the musketeers down. I finally got it down by episode 5. This is why I think the "fillerish" episodes of 2 - 5 were necessary. They still progressed the overall plot though.I really really loved this show, I want to keep going past season 1 but I'm worried it won't be as good.

It seems more money was spent on hairdressers than on plot writers,...or indeed decent directors. This ultra-light interpretation of the classic A. Dumas tale could be great: it has good production values, some quality actors and the BBC knowhow behind it,.... but so far it has been heartless, unbelievable pantomime NOT worthy of the BBC. The main roles are unfortunately portrayed by fashion models, not actors, trying to deliver at least a believable performance. Definitely a product for a generation that prefers looks over substance. It is possible for the Beeb to make a series that treats drama in a humorous, over the top and yet believable and enjoyable way (Atlantis, Doctor Who, ...) but here it should decide whether to make a serious period drama... or go full panto and hire Mr. Atkinson. (Blackadder returns?...)

An appearance of this historically interesting musketeer of the time would be nice.... from wikipedia Charles-Geneviève-Louis-Auguste-André-Timothée d'Éon de Beaumont (5 October 1728 – 21 May 1810), usually known as the Chevalier d'Éon, was a French diplomat, spy, freemason[1] and soldier who fought in the Seven Years' War. D'Éon had androgynous physical characteristics and natural abilities as a mimic, good features for a spy. D'Éon appeared publicly as a man and pursued masculine occupations for 49 years, although during that time d'Éon successfully infiltrated the court of Empress Elizabeth of Russia by presenting as a woman. For 33 years, from 1777, d'Éon dressed as a woman, claiming to have been female at birth. Doctors who examined d'Éon's body after d'Éon's death discovered that d'Éon would have actually been male at birth.
