A waste of 90 minutes of my life

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Let me start by saying most of the bad ratings, as the great ones, come from people who don't know the facts. If you don't care about the real story behind the film, you might enjoy it and think it's good enough, but otherwise I'd avoid it. I've seen other reviewers say this is not plausible and they are right, this movie gets a lot of details wrong, however the main details are right. There was a mid-air collision, one of the victim's relatives found his own daughter's body and he did end up killing the air traffic controller he deemed responsible for it. While I'm not related to any of the victims of this terrible tragedy, I think this film takes some liberties that can be really wrong and even hurtful. Go get informed about the facts first and you'll see the many shortcomings of this film.

This movie is sad both in what it tries to depict, a man who loses his family in a plane crash and the plot itself. Arnold needs to stick to making sci fi movies because he really is not a dramatic actor. This story line is full of holes and you can just about figure out what the next dialog will be. Watch something else.

I struggled to watch the entire movie. Slow, predictable and tragic of course. Script typical and acting by all was above average. Obviously, Arnold's name made many (incl me) want to see it. Arnold showing some range in his acting but nothing special that many other lesser stars couldn't have completed.

This is a drama-thriller film and is based on the real-life Überlingen mid-air collision, though the names, places and incidents were changed.The film follows the events after construction worker Roman Melnyk(Arnold Schwarzenegger) finds out that the AX 112 in which with his wife and daughter were on-board, had been in an accident.The film is decently paced with veteran actor Arnold Schwarzenegger at the reins and Scoot McNairy playing the other main role. Maggie Grace is the other female lead actress in the film and she give an overall decent performance in the film.This is a powerful film and will leave you thinking long after you've watched it. Elliot Lester who has directed the acclaimed film Love is the Drug 2006, gives another good performance as director.
