You won't be disappointed!
One of my all time favorites.
everything you have heard about this movie is true.
View MoreOne of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
View MoreSaw this on a dvd in 2007. Revisited it recently on a dvd which I own. The movie starts in some African jungle wher a hunter is attacked brutally by a creature. Cut the scene n we get to c a group of teens heading for a cabin inspite of being warned by a stranger not to go there. There is sufficient gore n a lil bit of nudity but the scares were zero. There is no tension n the worst part is the transformation scene. It looked like a cartoon from the 80s. In fact the transformation scene from An American werewolf in London is still one of the best. There is a scene where a man is supposed to retrieve the stolen report n jus run away but the level of stupidity is annoying when he jus keeps on lingering in the place knowing there is a werewolf around.
View MoreI bought this film on DVD the day it came out. I used to work at Circuit City, and there wasn't much else out that Tuesday. The first time I watched the film I didn't think the film was better than average. I couldn't get past the fact that the werewolf talked. Not only does he talk, but he makes wise cracks in the same vein as the later versions of Freddy. He also rapes people while in werewolf form. Not that I'm anti rape in movies. It's just I've never seen a werewolf do it. The costume was cool though, and it was cool that he stands on 2 feet. I can't stand werewolves (aside from An American Werewolf in London)that are on all four, or when they just turn into a wolf. I decided to eventually give it another chance. I liked it a lot better going into it knowing the werewolf talks. Now I watch it every October, and just love it. What was I thinking. How can you not love a wise cracking werewolf that rapes all of his sons friends. It's soooooooooooo funny! A little part of me still wishes they would have played it straight though. Only because we don't get many werewolf movies, and when we do it's all cg 4 leg crap. See this movie if your any kind of horror fan. AND MAKE MORE STAND ON 2 LEGS WEREWOLF MOVIES WITH OUT CG!
View More***SPOILERS*** Despite the blood gore and flying body parts that includes a number of gruesome decapitations the film "Big Bad Wolf"comes across more like a comedy then a horror or slasher flick. There's this crazy guy in the film Mitch Tablot, Richard Tyson, who's really a wolf-man who married the former Gwen Cowley, Sarah Aldrich, who's husband Scott, Andrew Bowen, he killed and tore apart in the jungles of darkest Africa while he was out hunting for wild boar. How this nut case Mitch became a wolf-man as well as ended up back in the USA and married his victim's widowed wife is never explained in the movie! It's when Mitch's step-son Derek, Trever Duke-Moretz, and his overly active, in having sex, friends decided to spent the weekend at Mitch's cabin deep in the woods that things started to get out of hand in the movie. It just happened that the day they were to spend the night there was a full moon and that was a fatal mistake on their part. Mitch who spent his time at the cabin when the moon was full just happened to show up and ripped the startled and horny students, who were engaged in doing you know what, apart with the exception of Derek and his girlfriend Tom Boy car mechanic Sam, don't you ever call me Samantha, Marche both escaping the carnage. With Derek somehow suspecting his step-father Mitch of being the killer of his friends it's now up to him and Sam to stop Mitch for any farther killings by killing him before he kills again! But being the law abiding persons that they are both Derek and Sam first need some positive proof that Mitch is whom they suspect he is, The wolf-man, before they kill him. That's where Derek's Uncle Charlie, Chris Shyer, comes in. It was Uncle Charlie who was with Derek's dad at the time he was killed in far off Africa and knows what Derek & Sam have been keeping from the police in who or what killed their friends back at Mitch's cabin. And in him being very friendly with a number of people working at a DNA research lab in town he needs just a sample of Mitch's DNA to get the ball rolling. That in order for him to prove that Mitch in fact isn't human or at best half human, and half wolf, in order to expose and have him arrested by the police for the killing he committed in the movie. And even better then that prevent Mitch from killing, when the moon is full, anyone else in the future!***SPOILERS*** It's the comedy angle and gut wrenching special effects in the movie that make it so effective. There's also the really hot and sexy looking chicks, or girls, who are always ready willing and able to takes their clothes off, at any given moment, who unfortunately, with the exception of Derek and Sam the Tom Boy, end up getting killed and mutilated by the crazed and hopped up,he rapes a number of them before killing them, Mitch Talbot. As for Mitch he ends up getting what's coming to him at the end of the movie. But like in all these "Friday the 13th" type horror movies he leaves us all a calling card in that we didn't see the last of Mitch Talbot and he'll soon be back before we even know it! Crazy but interesting film with the talking wolf-man and the sexy and at times unclad girls the main reason for watching it.
View MoreOn the minus side of the ledger Big Bad Wolf is crass, crude, formulaic, exploitative, cheap and ultimately tedious. On the plus side, other than perhaps the tedious bit, that's exactly what it sets out to be. That, and a couple of middling-to-good performances. I would write a summary of the plot but once I reached the "teenagers go up to cabin" part I'd lose the will to continue. Points of note: the werewolf talks (chiefly so that it can spout a dreary series of corny one- liners whilst engaged in acts of rape and murder) and David Naughton was talked in to a cameo. The latter brings us to the fact that the producers had the sheer gall to claim during production that their film would have better effects than American Werewolf in London. When you see their actual results you'll at least have to award points for shamelessness. Ultimately this is typical, contemporary, straight-to-DVD, B movie horror. It's not awful. It just aims cynically low and then walks away.
