A brilliant film that helped define a genre

RipDelight

This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

I know the illness is real and the actors put good effort into portraying that, but for those of us without the illness, it doesn't really help us relate, or help us cope with that illness. There are cinematic cues that something more is coming, yet nothing really happens in the grand cinematic scene. If you're a student studying the illness, this is probably better than whatever you get in class. If you're an average citizen, this movie is a bit of a let-down. Would've been much happier to find this in the documentary/drama section.

I usually don't comment on movies but this movie seems to have made an impact on lot of lives including doctor's. Her Book has actually helped people who has this disease. Great movie. Great acting.

As a person who had an auto immune disease I found this movie very interesting to watch. It was recommended by a Facebook group for autoimmune diseases. The movie moved along at a good pace and the acting was wonderful.
