Load of rubbish!!

It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

Clever and entertaining enough to recommend even to members of the 1%

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

The third installment of Bring It On is definitely a better sequel compared to the first one.No question about it. This direct-to-video film about cheerleading tells the story of Britney Allen, who just moved in into a new high school after her father lost his job.She comes from a rich family and must adjust to a not-so-rich environment. One way to do it is to join the cheerleading squad of the new school but her membership will definitely be challenged as she captain of the squad. As stated earlier,it is a better sequel Hayden Panettiere and Solange Knowles were able to carry the film with their performance as rivals and make it interesting to the viewer. While there is nothing original nor refreshing in the story nor is it as good as the first film, the performances of both actress made it at least an average film.

It is very difficult to choose between this third one in the franchise, and the 2000 original. Go for both, you will not be disappointed by either! I do think Kirsten triumphs over Hayden, but dynamic force scene-stealer Solange Knowles really knocks the socks off of Gabrielle Union. Really! Again, though, it's that thing where the aggressive way is now lauded as the real talent, while fine precision work is overlooked. What can I say? It's the way the world is going. So actually this movie furthers this negative ideal with which I vehemently disagree, and clearly the PV girls should have won, even with Winnie at the helm, Rihanna was just biased... Get real people! I'm not kidding! The PV girls looked the best and were the best. Those street hoodlums look like militant communists, yet you Americans fail to notice that. Wake up America! Before the politically-correct lot criticize me, just imagine two scenes: (1) black kid transfers to white school, is snubbed, picked on, this is wrong to viewers, ooh we have to fuss over him like Brandon Walsh in BEVERLY HILLS 90210 (2) role reversal, white kid transfers to black school, it is totally acceptable to viewers that the other kids would be hostile. THIS, DEAR America, IS A DOUBLE STANDARD which the viewing public is 1000% guilty of. Ain't nobody in the world that can refute this. Before I become all political, let me rather just stand back and say I loved the movie. Great story, highly watchable characters, pretty girls, awesome cheerleading moves. Sexy and fun. A total crowd-pleaser. And scores very high in the glam stakes. Fine flesh. I know Winnie's the bad girl we're supposed to hate, but a big wow! go to Marcy/Emme Rylan. Hayden should just have been taller, but I realize there is no constructive criticism in this remark, and really, she plays the part damn well. Damn well indeed.Come on people, Krumping gets you to win the cheerleading competition????? Wake up America!

By my count the original 2000 "Bring It On" has spawned 4 additional movies, and at least this one seems to be a direct-to-video. The phrase "Bring It On" is used a number of times as a sort of challenge, if you have the stuff then 'bring it on.' It is a silly fluff of a movie, and most of the girls seem unusually rude and confrontational, which may make for a lot of action but frankly doesn't do justice to the fine boys and girls in most of our schools.Hayden Panettiere is the star as Britney Allen, the head cheerleader for the best cheering squad in Southern California. She is brash and demanding. But one day when she gets home her parents tell her dad has lost his job and will need to take a new one a distance away in a less luxurious part of California. This makes for some of the more inventive humor in the movie."But dad, won't that be a very long commute to work?" Dad tells her they are moving there. "Oh, I'll miss you guys so much." Then dad tells her "We are all moving there." Britney doesn't take it very well. When she gets to her new school, with a high percentage of black and Hispanic students she immediately doesn't fit in. Solange Knowles (Beyonce's little sister) is Camille , the head cheerleader at the new school. There is immediate friction. And that is really what the whole movie is about. The friction between the cheer squad, and the old school, and a competition to see which will get a coveted gig. I like Panettiere and she is really good here, doing as much with the script as she can. But it is just another teen angst diversion.

The characters are likable, the script is great, the acting is brilliant and the finale holds up to the original. All in all, I had great fun watching this film.I wasn't expecting it to be good, in fact I was expecting it to be quite poor, but I was pleasantly surprised. I think fans of the original will like the film very much and happily watch it alongside.Expect to see quite a few movie references, but they don't feel forced, so a natural part of the dialogue. I would quite happily recommend this friends who were fans of the franchise or otherwise. So far it's my favourite of the sequels (though I have yet to watch Bring it on again).
