Such a frustrating disappointment

It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.

The acting in this movie is really good.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

A waste of time This baby can't dance but only sink down to the bottom of the water

A musical re-imagining of the 1987 film, Dirty Dancing (1987). Dirty Dancing is one of my favorite Patrick Swayze films and this TV movie remake has none of that excitement or the magic of the original in general, hell even Dirty Dancing 2 was better than this and at least Swayze was still alive and even had a small cameo that was pretty fun. This film uses the same music but it doesn't use that same fire or that same energy as the original and even the casting is all wrong and don't get me wrong Abigail Breslin is a great actress and she has proved that with movies like Maggie and Signs but she is no Jennifer Grey and that other guy is no freaking Patrick Swayze in any shape or form at all. Movie was terrible. Baby's outfits were ill fitting, the singing was blah, and there was NO CHEMISTRY between baby and Johnny. AND the worst part if after 2 hours of crap movie they didn't even end up together!!! Too many changes from the original scrip, the only change I liked was the added drama and romance between Baby's mom and dad.

This movie is such a mess. I think initially they just wanted to make a pointless word-to-word remake, but in the middle somebody has thought: Why no add some new scenes and change the ending for worse? I only liked two things: -Abigail Breslin, because she really looks like awkward nerd who needs some dancing lessons - sisters relationship was better than in original movie.The casting was terrible. There was zero chemistry between Baby and Johnny. In some scenes she looks 12 years old and it was quite disturbing. But what was even worse - Baby's father looks like 90 years old and he has a sex scene. Oh I really wish I could un-seen this one.
