In 1967, Peter McKay watched as his father decapitated his sister on Easter morning. Peter never celebrated the holiday again... until now - today - in 1987. In an isolated cabin deep in the woods, Peter and his five friends will fall prey to a killer with a bloody ax to grind. A killer dressed as the Easter Bunny.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Not to be confused with the Bunnyman trilogy (Perish the thought) this comedy/horror featuring a man in an Easter Bunny costume going on a killing spree is about as intellectual as you'd imagine and half as entertaining. The jokes fall flat, the cast is laughable and there simply isn't enough action to be a competent slasher. It's not the worst out there by far but the amateurish creation and lack of originality doesn't do it any favours. The Good: Interesting killer Competent Soundtrack The Bad: Some of the casting is atrocious The twist is ultra predictable Things I learnt from this movie: The movies soundtrack could very well have influenced Hotline Miami (2012) Blood is easily cleaned from a pure white bunny suit

The soundtrack is really excellent for a low budget film, and I couldn't help but love the character of Ranger Chris. Ridiculous film, but I found myself actually getting involved in the development of the story. Great choice for an 80's style camp slasher flick, but without the brutal sexism. Also, the acting was for the most part surprisingly convincing. The party scene reminded me of a slip n slide commercial. Standard 80's style filming. It reminds me a bit of Garth Merenghi's dark place. They use era specific special effects. The blood squirting was expertly shot. I think it's only available on VHS - they really stuck religiously to the 80's theme, even with the release!I happen to have one, so I was able to watch it, but I hope it comes out on DVD.

With seemingly every horror film being remade to death (and becoming more and more boring), finally something new comes along. A slasher film with the Easter bunny as the killer. Did you get that? Read it again. Someone actually pulled it off- and it works! It's shot on video too, which adds to the movie's feel rather than hinder it. I've seen a lot of shot on video movies and I really dug what they were doing here. There's a lot of comedy in the movie too, but it's never the kind that spoofs horror films or gets stupid. In fact the comedy is the best stuff in the film. You really get the sense that these guys took a camera out on a weekend and just started shooting... which helps make it feel like a home movie but it's edited tight and never gets boring. It gets pretty intense towards the end too and even though we never doubt who the killer is, it's fun to watch the characters figure it out. Finally I have a new horror for Easter!

If you like the classic SOV style movies, this is a must watch for you! Unfortunately i don't (which affected my score a little), but somehow I still couldn't stop watching it! Maybe it was from the funny and witty lines? Or the over-the-top scenes (and trust me when I say over-the-top scenes!). Or maybe even the music (Fun and matched perfectly with the scene's atmosphere)? You can tell that this movie was inspired by the old school shot-on-video flicks, but the director made it a little different by adding some modern twist to it. So if you like a little blast from the past, what are you waiting for? Give your mind a rest from modern movies which are all about overpaid celebrities and big budget cg, crack open a beer, sit back and have some fun!
