A Disappointing Continuation
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
View MoreAmazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
View MoreThrough painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
View MoreGrim urban drama about the catastrophic breakdown of Romanian society in the post-Ceaușescu era. Contains footage of the last remaining functional infrastructure in Bucharest (two street lights and a stop sign). The Romanians stomp around moodily, jabbering to each other in heavily accented English, arranging murders for hire, looking for small girls to rape, and occasionally grunting a word or two in their primitive dialect. For his part the protagonist spends most of his time killing Romanians, so if you're a Ceaușescu fan you'll find this movie deeply satisfying. I definitely got more than I bargained for.I rate Interview with a Hit-man at 26.64 on the Haglee Scale, which works out as a stunning 8/10 on IMDb.
View MoreThe best part about the film is the realism with which the actor plays Victor the assassin. Most other Hit-man movies that I have watched were excellent in terms of how they emphasized on how dangerous paid killers are as well as brutal. However what most films don't do is show that even a mass murderer has a deep sensitive side no matter how cold. And it also shows how some kids who become hit men in the future begin killing from an early age. Watch the movie Interview with a Hit-man to find out how an ordinary youth turns into the youngest paid killer working for the Sergey Crime family.
View MoreMy favorite phrase in the whole film is 'My name is Viktor.' The charisma with which the actor playing Victor says these lines absolutely amazes me. It's almost like listening to the Casanova of murder. The film Interview with a Hit-man opens up with a series of disconnected scenes that later come together like the pieces of a puzzle, and then the story plays out. The only thing I didn't like the film was that I felt it was a bit too violent and so realistic. However the violence was toned down, and some of it even justified in the end.
View MorePlot: This is a simple movie with a straightforward plot save a few minor twists. Certain parts were pretty boring and redundant but overall it's a solid story.Character: My first impression is that Luke Goss looks a little too old for a hit-man and I cant help but compare him to Jason Statham. As the movie goes on, he grew into his character as a hit-man and at the end of the movie he has established the fact that he was cool and charming in a different way from Jason Statham. However, since the movie is some sort of a biography of a hit-man, the supporting characters were not given enough room to grow.Visual: Do not expect big explosions and brilliant effects since it's a low budget film; for a low budget film, the actions scenes were pretty good.Overall: Decent plot and solid acting from Luke Goss. Recommended for those who like movies such as Bangkok Dangerous. If I take into account its low budget, I would have given a rating of 8/10.
