Load of rubbish!!
n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

View MoreA movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
View MoreIt's Oct 31st, Halloween (2016) and my first feature on this special day was Lucky McKee's May, starring The Iconic Angela Bettis, who is mesmerizing with her performance. Also featuring Jeremy Sisto, Anna Faris, Bret Roberts, James Duval, Jesse Hlubik and Kevin Gage. It's a very powerful movie with an emotional vibe to it that has realism about what's going on with some people's lives in this world. The part about May being alone and people find her being weird, which actually does have a strong connection with my life for my looks and my interest in horror films and stuff, which most people around me find strange. This is definitely a top favorite movie of mine which I have seen so many times, it's just so beautiful and touching the way it's made, and it connects with my heart every time I see it.
View MoreA-Z Horror Movie of the Day..."May" (R - 2002 - US)Sub-Genre: Psycho/GoreMy Score: 7.8Cast=6 Acting=8 Plot=7 Ending=9 Story=8 Scare=8 Jump=6 F/X=8 Psycho=10 Gore=8A lonely young woman traumatized by a difficult childhood, and her increasingly desperate attempts to connect with the people around her."So, are we like best friends now that you've seen what's in my freezer?" She really pushed that Pretty to Crazy ratio to the limit!! It started off slow and was just plain weird. Once the case broke, so did May. It was at this point that the violence ensued and the movie hit a whole other level!! When you watch this one...just remember, If you can't find a friend, make one!!!
View MoreFrom childhood onwards May has a lazy eye which causes the other kids to avoid her completely. May has a doll which she considered as her best friend. She has a love interest in Adam, a mechanic and her co- worker Polly has an interest in May. May starts to lose her patience when she lost both Adam and Polly's love. Angela portraits the role of May in a way that we will feel bad for her at the same time we will hate that character. The film starts out a little slow but May will get into your head faster than you wish. Overall, it's a waste of time.
View MoreMay wants a friend. May needs a friend. The only friend she has is her doll, completely enclosed in a glass case. Her mother informs her that the doll is "special" and cannot be removed from the case. She also has a wandering eye which keeps her from connecting with other people. Her mother taught her from a young age that no one wants to be friends with a girl who has a lazy eye.May spends her days working at the local animal hospital and her nights sewing her own clothes and talking to her only friend, her doll. She is waiting for a connection with another person but is much too socially awkward to do anything about it.Then one day she meets Adam, whose hands she becomes obsessed with. She immediately falls in love with Adam and sets out to win his heart. She gets contacts to correct her wandering eye. She sews up some sexy clothes to wear around him and makes herself available around him. They begin dating but it soon becomes apparent to Adam that May is too weird for his tastes. So begins May's downward spiral. This is where actress Angela Bettis really shines. She immerses herself so much in the role that we see a true breakdown of epic proportions. We feel May's pain and loneliness yet we see why the people around her ultimately reject her. Writer/director Lucky McKee has crafted a superior tale of longing for acceptance and trying to fit in. May wants to be normal and connect with people but her upbringing has shaped her in such a way as for this to be practically impossible. When May lets her sexy co-worker Polly, played by Anna Farris in possibly her best role, seduce her, she feels that maybe she has finally made a connection but is ultimately let down again when Polly falls for the gorgeous Ambrosia and leaves May by the wayside.Ultimately May's doll breaks and she must find a new friend, or make her own...This is writer/director McKee's first solo effort and he really shines. He has crafted a tale that is appealing to the socially awkward, and those that don't fit in, and depicts a frightening and murderous descent into madness. 9/10.
